I suppose by now that some of you may have realized I'm a fan of Godzilla. Well a little over a month ago I got Godzilla Save the Earth for PS2. The games also on the Xbox.. Well anyways I figured I'd put up stuff for it here.
The game is definetly better for two player. While they had a strong one player story planned, they had to cut it down drasticly due to time constraints. There are still some one player challenge modes, but the fun in them varies drasticly. Some are real bad, others are very fun. The game has 20 monsters but most of them have to be unlocked. I plan on going and putting up discriptions of all the monsters in this thread.

Not really like war of the monsters. They both have huge differences. For one thing this game has a side veiw rather than behind. The pace is slower and the monsters are much larger. Also there are different types of damage. There are two basic types, blunt and edge, and numours special damages. For example a mech won't take much damage from a freeze ray, but electrical attacks will wreck them. Most monsters have some sort of beam or projectile, and most of these can be charged up for more damage. Special abilitys and beams use energy, and most mosters energy regenerates slowly, but not all of them. Every monster has foes they do well against and foes that seem tailor made to hurt them. If at any point you don't know anything about the monster I'm talking about check out www.kaijuphile.com/rodansroost/kaijustats/kaijustats.shtml for info.

Okay my first monster reviews will be the Godzillas.
This game features two versions of Godzilla. While they are both simeler they do have differences beyond apperence. Think Ken and Ryu in the more recent Streetfighter games.
Godzilla Millenium. A very good all around monster. He can do quick punches and kicks, or thrash opponents to a pulp with his tail. His red atomic breath packs a serious punch, and he takes damage well. His rage sends out a fiery nucular pulse that damages anyone near him, and sends them flying. Godzilla 90's. Simeler to his counterpart, but has slightly more blunt attacks. His blue atomic breath may be even stronger. His rage has him brace himself before sending out a powerful red beam. This may well be the most powerful attack in the game. He also has a real nice punting throw.

Angurirus
One of my personal favorates. Both in the game and in the movies. Angurius is a quadreped Dinosaur and the first foe Godzilla ever faced. He later went on to be one of Godzillas most tenacous allies, and recently reappeared in Godzilla Final Wars. Angurius is not a long range charecter, lacking a beam. Rather he sends out a short range roar attack for his weapon. This move has little range, but a short burst can be used to interupt foes. So what what keeps other monsters from staying away and beaming Angurius? Well for starters he's fast. Anguiurus drops down onto all fours to run and is one of the faster charecters in the game, but by no means the fastest. Secondly he has the best overall defence. And defesivly he is good. He's the only charecter I ever use blocks with effectivly in a fighting game. Becasue you see he turns his back on his foe. His back has a shell. The shell is covered in spikes. So if an opponent carelessly punches Angurus, they will hurt themselves and be stunned. Oh and because of the shell when hes on all fours beams only do half damage, and he can run right through them. Once in close Angurus has decent attack ability. There are charecters that can do more damage, and charecters that do better at combos, but Angurus is a happy medium. He also can roll into a ball and roll around very quickly. This will drain evergy very quickly however. His rage is a stronger roll. Although it is difficult to control him while he's rolling, Angurus can juggle foes if your good.

Baragon Baragon debuted in the movie Frankenstien Counqers the World, and had a cameo in Destroy All Monsters. And for decades that was it. However he was used again in 2002 for Godzilla-Mothra-King Ghidorah-All monsters attack. Baragon is a burrowoing quadreped Dinosaur, with a nasal horn and big floppy ears. Baragon may have the lowest attack in the game, but for this monster that is no handicap. Baragon just happens to be the games combo king. Baragon can pull of combos the other carecters can only dream of. And if you factor in some of his special abilitys, it's easy to see why baragon is one of the games best charecters. Like Angurus Baragon drops to all fours to run, and also cuts beam damage in half. Speaking of beams Baragons is a bit different than most. Baragon breathes fire in midrange pulses. What makes this usefull is that unlike most charecters Baragon can move while using his weapon. Another specail attribute Baragon has lets him perform jump attacks anytime in the air. Most of the cast can only do a jumping attack if they have jumped straight up. And finally there is Baragons signature ability to burrow. He may take a few seconds to get underground, but he can attack in a couple of different ways once burrowing. Baragons rage has him dig into the ground, causing fire to burst up from beneath.

Rodan One of Godzilla's oldest foes/allies, Rodan actually debuted in his own movie. He also was revived for this years movie, Godzilla Final Wars. The version of the Giant Pteranadon used for this game is his 1993 "Fire Rodan" look. Rodan is one of the fastest moving charcters in the game. However his attack speed is not. Rodan excels at hit and run, but you need to be careful not to get his as Rodan has the lowest defence in the game. Obviously Rodan can fly, and in fact he can do so better than any other charecter in the game. At first you won't need to use any evergy to fly but after a few seconds it begins to drain energy. However a skilled Rodan player can glide an only actually fly a little, and thus use no energy. Rodans beam is a weaker version of Godzillas, but it still packs a respectible punch. It's also fast charging, and can be fired while Rodan is in the air. It should be noted that fire based attacks, such as Baragons breath and Rodans own beam will actually heal Rodan. Rodans rage has him spin 620% very quickly while firing his beam.
