Okay, I've played some pretty twisted games in my time as a gamer, and I must say that I thought the original Fatal Frame was messed up. Then just yesterday, my wife finishes Fatal frame 2: Crimson Butterfly and my mouth hung open at the ending of that game. (I won't spoil it because it shocked the hell out of me. Literally XD )
I was wondering if anyone has played these games. Tecmo certainly has changed it's tune since it released games like the Tecmo Bowl Series and other sports games. They have a great grasp on horror games as well.

I've played it! XD (doy)
Yes, the ending is quite...erm...shocking... o_0 Still, the game kicks ass! XD
I haven't played the first Fatal Frame though, only Crimson Butterfly. The best thing in the game for me were the sound effects. They freaked me out. Everytime I heard something, I jumped. XD (this is why resurie only played the game in the day. XD!)
Lovely, if that's true, don't go near Fatal Frame! XD

Well, my wife only played the game at night because we didn't really want our son to see it. (you know the bloody rituals can do bad things to a six year old.. who knew?? ) So we were pretty freaked out having to play at night. Yes, the sound effects. Very little music in the game, you get to hear every last sound in the house. It only adds to the horror. Music would ruin the suspense!! XD Very dark game as well (duh)!! I thought the ending credits song was awesome. It was in Jap. but they had subtitles. Have you beaten the harder difficulties resurie. My wife is trying it on Normal mode now. I just play the missions. I feel safer that way. (shifts eyes) The scariest part for my wife had to be the pic of the peeping child: You go walking up to this window and when you are about two inches away, the ghost of a small boy jumps up to the window and looks atraght at you. My wife had to stop and catch her breath after that part. I'm glad I wasn't paying attention or else it would have freaked me out as well!! For anyone that hasn't heard of it I'll type the info on the back of the box. Just to set the mood: The day of the new Ritual approaches... Legend tells of a lost village whose population vanished during the eve of a sacred ceremony. Wreathed in thick fog and held in endless nightfall, those who wander through its nearby forest are in danger of being spirited away to this desolate remain. Now, twin sisters have found themselves trapped in this lost village and are in danger of succumbing to the ritual...the ritual of the Crimson Sacrifice where one sister kills the other!Oh and res, if you're wondering, the first game will seem quite tame compared to this one. The scene with Sae laughing still gives me chills.(yes she killed all those people) I do like how the camera operates better in the first one though. Oh yeah, and I found a warning on the box as well: WARNING! Do not play this game alone!! XD

XD Now if I only somehow find an mp3 of it....>< doubt I will though...XD *keeps searching* As for the harder difficulties....nope. I haven't played the game in quite a while actually....I never go through games on a higher difficulty. Once is enough for me. XD
