Hey, has anyone played this? I love this game; it's so hard. I'm trying to play through it without losing a chararcter. I'm on Ch 29 right now.

I only know what I know from Super Smash Bros. Melee, reguarding this game. What's it about?

Well, this game takes place about 20 or so years before Marth and Roy. On the game you are a military tactician, you've been rescued by a girl named Lyn. She suppossedly has no family, but she later finds out the she has a grandfather in a place of power. The problem is that there is a country, not to mention a group of assassins seeking his life. That's the first part of the story.
The next part is about Eliwood, looks familiar huh? Eliwood is Roy's father! You see, Eliwood is looking for his father who has left on some business. While looking, he finds out about a much bigger and more dangerous scheme.
This game is hard! No mistake goes unpunished! You screw up, one of your characters die. You can't use them for the rest of the game if you go on through the battle after they die. And you can't merely reset the Game Boy and start at the turn just before the person dies, the game auto-saves constantly. If you turn the Game Boy on and off again you get to see your character die again! If you don't want to continue on without that character then you have to start the entire battle (or Chapter as it's called in the game) over agin. Everytime a unit of mine dies, I restart the chapter.
Also, there is no time between battles where you can stock up pn items and stuff. Nope you have to do this on the fly! So, you're trying to sieze the throne of a stronghold, with reinforcements coming out of the stronghold every other turn, and you have to buy healing potions and new weapons during all this! And did I mention that the weapons break? The shops and stuff are isolated places on the map, so you better send a strong unit with a good range of movement to shop. I don't like splitting up the group in the middle of a battle, but when all my weapons are broken, I have no choice. Also, you have to recruit new characters during battle.
This game is so hard! I love it though. It really makes you think and plan ahead. If you don't, you will have a thin army.

woah Eliwood is Roy's father? I did not know that... hey would Lyn be Marth's, cause well he has blue hair and sadly he has a rather girlish voice, i mean it sounds more girlike than boylike right... so that means if a character is lost in one part of the story you cant use them again when it is one year later or something cuz i heard the game actually is not all happening in one year

Well, I don't think Lyn is Marth's mother, due to several different endings that come up.
It depends on what part of the story you lose your character in. If you lose them durning Lyn's story, you're okay because her missions are kind of like a tutorial. They'll be back. If you lose the character during Eliwood's story, then you're screwed. So be careful during Eliwood's story!
