Xenogears. I must have seen that ending over a hundred times. In fact I'm listining to the ending theme as I type.
Legacy of Kain Defience- The first time since the first Kain game there actually is an ending.
Dizzys ending in Guilty Gear X2 where she is loosing control and Sol jumps in and then when her freinds show up she coments on how it felt like here father...
Guiles Street Fighter 2 ending.
Legend Of Zelda A Link To The Past. You get to see what happened to just about everyone you met.
Megaman X5, espesally Zero's ending. If you've seen it you know why.
Sonic Adventure 2. Syonara Shadow The Hedghog.
Tales Of Symphonia. I was waiting for the to happen with Loyd.
Wild Arms 3. The heros save the world then have to go on the lam for a crime they didn't commit.
Well thats it for what I could come up with off the top of my head.

Very true indeed.... unless you beat The Boss while wearing the Oyama face paint, then it just looks really silly

I must have the crappiest ending things~ Note to self: Buy Suikoden III or at least borrow it... Final Fantasy 10: ;-; So sad.... Made me cry the first time when Tidus tried to hug Yuna but he couldn't then he jumps off the damn airship. After all that and near the credits, Yuna said '...never forget them...' Kingdom Hearts: As mentioned before... Sonic Adventure 2: ;-; Shadooooooow~ Aaaaaaand...I really can't remember more where I actually cried ._.'''' ...I'm so dull >.>

Matamune- Be sure to collect all 104 recruitable Stars of Destiny in Suikoden III if you want the good ending... the good ending is the memorable one... I barely even remember the normal ending.
[edit- whoohoo!! Post 500!! I'm now in the elite "Master Shaman" group with Ashil!!]

This isn't the end, but I almost cried when the Al Bhed "Infadels" sung the Hymn of Yevon after destroying their base in FFX

The endings of Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 after the end credits. The screen just shows the logo and then there's a dialog (between Ocelot and Solidus in MGS1 and Snake and Otacon in MGS2) followed by a final plot twist which timed preciesly with a deep bass-drum hit . Those were memorable . MGS3's is better; "Thanks, Mr. Director" DUN DUN DUUUUUN. Clock Tower for the SNES, about 6 or 7 (can't remember) possible endings, the coolest ones were when Scissorsman kills you in the elevator or when he kills you in the car. Mario Bros 2's ending, you go through hell just to discover it's all Mario's dream.

"Psychic Force 2" has quite a few storyline endings for its characters, but Might's choked me up...
"I'm sorry... Mother..." (He pretty much killed his future mother.)

I'm not sure if anyone's ever heard of it, but the best ending I ever saw would be the ending to MMVIII (Might and Magic VIII). I don't want to give anything away, because it will spoil the whole ending for anyone who hasn't played it.

Well, I did put video game spoilers on the name of the thread, so you don't have to worry about people yelling "I was spoiled!".
The ending of Disgea:Hour of Darkness was pretty surprising, pretty cool, kind of happy(if you sat through the credits), pretty sad(Laharal gives his life to revive Flonne, who would've been revived if he hadn't killed that guy and spared him.) and pretty much every other emotion wrapped into one to create a very memorable ending to a very memorable game!

Umm...SOM, while that is a touching-yet depressing ending...there is a way to get a "good" ending in that game. You have to not get any of your units killed by your own attacks for the whole game! I know it's hard in a game like Disgaea(I for one thought I had accomplished it, but turns out I did it on accident earlier in the game), but if you can pull it off, I believe that Laharl doesn't die, and you learn MidBoss's true identity.

Oh. GRRRRRRR............ Can you hurt, not kill, your own party members with an attack, and still get the good ending?

I think so....but not total sure on that one, sorry!
As far as touching endings...I like the "neutral" ending in Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne. It's short and sweet, with a nice epilogue. Haven't really had a chance for the other ending yet, though.
Also, La Pucelle had a great ending. I should play that game again sometime.

Well, I did put video game spoilers on the name of the thread, so you don't have to worry about people yelling "I was spoiled!" The reason I didn't spoil you sorry fools, is that the ending is so great, that it deserves to be earned. (That, and the RPG itself has several different choices, and that could lead to a different ending)
