I got Pikmin 1 for Christmas in 2002 and I love it! It's funny, adorable, timed, challenging, and all of the above! I have never felt so sad for a video game character in my life! Every time a Pikmin dies........  ! Anyway, talk away! |

If you want a sad moment, play FF7 up to where you get to the end of the *gasps in pain* OH GOD AERIS!!!! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MEEE!!! *SOBBING* |

I don't own the Pikmin game but I watched my friend play it before. It was kind of funny. You grew an army of mindless drowns right from the ground itself... only to watch them all get stepped on or eaten. Actually, I thought it was pretty fun, but I don't really care for the character.

It`s about a man named Captain Olimar, who is taking a vacation in his spaceship, when a meteor comes and crashes into his ship. His ship breaks apart into 30 different pieces and when he comes to, Olimar finds his ship to be a total wreck! He`s on an alien planet, and he only has 30 days of oxygen to work with. It`s here that Olimar discovers the hard working species known as Pikmin!!
It`s a pretty fun game to play for the GameCube. It`s got a great sense of humor, a bunch of cool aliens, and the adorable Pikmin! The sequel was released a while back, and is just as fun! I guess you could call them both puzzle games...........

I've never played either, but I feel a strange affinity for them... most likely because the Pikmin 2 commercial was frickin' hilarious!

Indeed, that commercial should be imortalized in history, so the youths of the future can see how random out humour is now a days XD.
Anyways, I have both. I get frustrated with them though, and, they both collect dust, unless I want a fun game of multiplayer, which is quite cool.
Also, the "Bad" ending to Pikmin1 is one of the funniest moments in a video game EVER. Or it is just silly...yah, just sorta goofy, but still pretty surprising.

I love de Pikmin so much! I have both games.
Seriously, Pikmin does something to me... I can't stand it when my Pikmin get eaten, and I mourn for each one who dies. Even though they're mindless drones...they're so...so...life-like. Mebbe it's cause their souls float away when they're killed, or maybe it's how they scream when they're being eaten... And they're so self-sacrificing...
And there's nothing more tragic than a drowning Pikmin...
Oh yes, and 1 is better than 2, because I didn't really like the whole Pikmin-slave-labor thing. The white ones were cute, though.
