Yep, Jr's reaction to that character was MY exact reaction. Through the whole frikin' fight that boss keeps on lobbing insults my way! Gaaaaaaaa!!! Hell, I called... that boss, the same name Jr used for it NUMEROUS times throughout the battle. Heck, I think I set a personal record for how much I cursed at that boss. And I normally don't curse!
....You know, I'm still kind of upset ^^;.
This is a fun game to get such a reaction out of me *laughs*.

Yessss.... HER. I just beat her. Unless your refering to the Gear you fight while escaping. But just put Jin in with Kos-mos or Jr. and that Gear dies fast.
You know story wise Xenogears would also be the most powerful of all Gears AWGS, ES whatever. Unless they had something insane planned for episode 6.
I'm finnally writing Fearless Angels, my sad excuse for a Xeno ripoff again.

Man, I hate not being able to say things since no one is far enough....
Anyway, I did start my own Xeno board. It's in my sig... currently we have 3 members. Me, vanman, and Jr.

Yes. I put a nice long rant about the "wonderful boss" there!
Yes, I quoted Jr. many times especially after she healed herself the first time I fought her. I thought I had the wrong party the first time I fought her.
MOMO hits a critical for.....103? WTF?! >_<
I'll make it my mission to kill the person who thought that boss fight up!!
I used items to keep my EP up. I used all my EP up in the first battle so I had to use Ether Packs to stay in the fight. I used Med kits and they did well enough. The weak ones that I have like 40 of. I only used my ethers to cast Medica 2 or the rare Medica all since it does cost 10. When she changed into Ranes and started giving us a beating, I thought I was supposed to die. She saved all 3 of her boosts and used them all immediatly killing Jr, MOMO, and leaving Jin wonder what the hell happened! XD

I'll join Xenoboard as soon as I finish the game ^_~ . At this point I am reeeeeaaaaallly afraid of spoilers. I probably won't post much in this thread anymore 'till then either^^;.
Storywise, I'm still where I was. I've been doing a lot of the Samaritan quests to get some more items and techniques. The double attack with Jr and Chaos is HOT erm... I mean cool *cough*.
Oh, and I JUST figured out that you have to equip certain skills and the swimsuits *hits self on the head* . The swimsuits are reeeaaaallly cool, And they look nice (jr and chaos ^///^ ....) but... they are also a bit goofy. I know they are good for my stats, but I don't think I'll have them equiped when I start on the main story again ^^;. Kind of embarassing...

Strangly enough the last two times I fouaght "Her" I did quite well. Ice protection is the way to go.
A few more Samaritan quests and I'll get tackling Labrynthos again.
The worst boss in any xeno game is still Miang in Opthniomorth. That made Orgulla seem like a cakewalk.
Guess I'll go join the Xenoboard. Maybe I can finnally get someone to hook me up with decent art of Xenogears....

Lovely, Dessa is doing a good job of keeping spoilers to as much of a minimum as possible, she even has a seperate section for story discussion, one for after the first disk and one after the end of the game. Any non-marked spoilers are going to be dealt with ^_________^
I really didn't like the Ormus Stronghold boss very much either, though I beat it the first time, but I did have help, as I watched Dessa fight it like 5 or 6 times! Everyone else I know had a very hard time of it.

*Nice tagline Lovely XD
Sorry! I did a handful of the GS Quests too.
I haven't tried all of the double attack combos I have yet, but they seem to be not worth the effort it takes to avtivate. Most require two stock and in the turns you have to skip stocking (unless you have a lot of enhancer skills that activate while stocking) you could probably deal as much damage as you do with the double attack.
I like that the characters still remain in their swimsuits even during their double attacks too.
Is it common for this game to have regular monsters that are IMPOSSIBLE?! I blew up an object and fought an invincible monster. Too bad it took me a half hour to find out I couldn't beat it. The thing was a knight on horseback with 12000 hp. I fight it down to about 3000 when I get a message reading "The Nanomachines have gone haywire" and then it explodes leaving behind it's core. The explosion deals about 3000 damage to each of my party members killing them all. Jr. dodged it and then the monster regenerated with full health. I rewcovered my team and tried it again and then it blew up again this time killing everybody. What was worse was that it took me about 30 min. before this happened. I was totally pissed. I nearly quit playing after that.

Disclaimer: This post has been specially crafted to contain virtually no spoilers ^_~ . I finished! I finished! I finally finished! *cries* I had trouble with the end bosses so it took me a while ^^;. Hmmmm... I'll talk more about the endgame story/ specifics on the Xeno board ^_^ . As a side note to the masses though, Rumors of an abrupt ending are VASTLY exagerated. I think the game had a good stopping point. It just left a LOT open and started a few things to make us hungry for the next game. God... I hope they make a sequel. I've heard some scary rumors about Monolith, the game company that makes Xeno ;_; . Oh yeah, and this game plays/feels a LOT like Xenogears. More so than Xenosaga 1. It was both a combonation of cool and weird. The side quests are... kind of silly. BUT! I was thinking about it, and it's like this. MOST rpg's force you go on fetch quests and do odd tasks and then have these moments akwardly intergrated into the main story. XenoII does something a bit non-standard and pretty much makes ALL the fetch quests optional. Without even TRYING to intergrate the things into the story line. It was an interesting aproach. And it gave you a break after some hard dungeons ^^. Yeah, I didn't find the combo attacks all that practicle either. They sure are pretty though. The combo between Shion and Chaos made me blush! I still have a few that I aquired but haven't used. I going to play around in the endgame, find some low level monsters and try/view them that way. Is it common for this game to have regular monsters that are IMPOSSIBLE?! I blew up an object and fought an invincible monster. Too bad it took me a half hour to find out I couldn't beat it. The thing was a knight on horseback with 12000 hp. I rewcovered my team and tried it again and then it blew up again this time killing everybody. What was worse was that it took me about 30 min. before this happened. I was totally pissed. I nearly quit playing after that. They got me too ._. . Actually, I was lucky and way able to run away after stealing from them. I DID kill ONE of the beasties but for the most part I ran. They were way to hard for Lovely. I'm sure there is a trick to them though. I just... didn't really care that much at that point. But then, going into the end battles It turned out that I was unprepared for those too ^^;. Man, was I happy that I hadn't used ANY of my point boosters up till that point. It took some work, and some searching at gamefaqs.com but it was doable . Weeeeeee~ I'm hyper now ^_^ !!! Must discuss events of the endgame story @_@... *goes off to register at Xenoboard.*
