Alan Wake is a next-gen game from Remedy, the creators of Max Payne. It's the story of Alan Wake who is a bestselling horror author. Alan's wife dies and he moves to the small town of Bright Falls to rest and recover. While there, he writes a book inspired by his nightmares. But something strange happens, and his nightmare comes to life when the sun sets. Alan is being hunted by terrifying creatures from his own nightmares with light as his only ally.
The game is set in a massive, free-roaming environment(my favorite kind of environment) and I'm guessing that gameplay will center around staying alive and in the light.
The graphics... Oh, the graphics. This is what everyone wants to see in next-gen games. It is very hard to describe the sheer beauty of it, from the incredible lighting engine to the awe inspiring scenery. So go download the trailers.
This will be one of the first games released for PS3, Xbox 360, and Revolution.
