<Lord Cyber as Lord Taevius Alibaster> OOC: This is narrative-story format, NOT message board postings.
As the title suggests this happens during 46. I'd like to have some other RPers in here, but if you've already posted or written your character's 46 stuff in some other thread, then let those that haven't add on to this story.
I can and will have mods rip out any threads that are not narrative. Any major ooc questions can be handled under the OOC board using the same title as this thread.
Finally, my stuff tends to be more serious, humor is appreciated here, off the wall humor is not.
IC:
"Your Oracle Bell...please...", the Official's voice was stern, but calm as he spoke to the young man.
Everyone around them was a blur of energy, complaining about team names, desperately trying to find third members, arguing about strategies...but a tortured calm hung about the Official and the shaman in front of him.
Slowly, Lord Taevius Alibaster undid the snaps that held the device on his arm. It felt extremely heavy as he handed it to the Official. No one around them even noticed.
Tears were beginning to stream down his face as his hazel eyes tried to catch the Official's.
"Do...do you know where the Templar Knights are...?" his voice was meak and he was emotionally exhausted. Taevius had known for the last six hours of walking through the desert that this moment was fated to be.
"I do not, shaman...but I will take you to where you can find out."
And he did.
The news was grim...being failed out of the tournament for arriving late was one thing, but finding out that he was the only Templar Knight to arrive made his heart ache.
Lord Alibaster found himself that night in the Patch Cafe sitting alone and brooding over the day's tragic events.
Patch Village had more than enough accomodations, thus the Officials granted him stay to wait for his companions to arrive.
"But would they..."

(OOC: yeah..I finally will post something...)
The cafe was busy as normal as the shamans flooded in, mostly in groups of three. Some were in larger groups, very few were alone.
Alex walked up to the blonde gentleman sitting alone at a table and almost felt herself blush as she looked at him. She shook it off as she reminded herself she was supposed to be working and not finding boys. She put the menu on the table, "Is there anything I can get you to drink sir?" She stood smiling for a moment but no response came from the man. Her smile slowly began to disappear. She was getting tired of these shaman coming in and ignoring her when she tried her hardest to do her job right. And then they would complain and then the boss would yell at her...
She sighed at the thoughts of more angry patrons. Alex was about to say something more to the man when she noticed his serious look upon his face. "Deep in thought..." Alex quietly said to herself but then finally spoke a little more loudly, "Umm...excuse me...sir? Are you ok?" Alex waved her hand in front of his face to try to get his attention.

<Lord Cyber as Lord Taevius Alibaster>
"What, who...?" Taevius looked up at the woman with violet hair. His eyes caught hers and he looked deeply into them.
She looked slightly angry and mostly confused to him.
Lord Alibaster blinked stupidly twice, completely forgetting where he was at.
"Tea...I'm sorry, yes just tea..." he felt himself blushing, here of all places in front of this young woman.
He made sure to leave the cafe before she had a chance to return to the booth.
*****
The night air was dry and clear. The streets were well lit, and on this first night the tenseness of battle was replaced with jubilation and excitement.
The laughter and joy of so many had warmed Taevius' soul and thus he found himself waiting in front of the Patch Cafe at 2 am for the waitress to leave so he could apologize to her.
"Miss...excuse me..."

<Alex>
Alex sighed as she walked out of the Patch Cafe, "I'm so sick of these customers. I can't believe that jerk asked for tea and then ran off like that. Then I had to explain to Silva why I wasted a cup of tea..." She kicked a trash can to take out her frustration. "Stupid Stingy Silva...I can't believe he docked me for that tea too...$7 for tea? This isn't Starschmucks..."
Alex started heading back to her "room" when she heard a voice behind her...she turned around to see the "tea man" there. She rolled her eyes a bit as she looked at the man. "If you came back for your tea, I'm sorry but the cafe is closed now." She turned back around to continue on her way home.

Taevius was taken aback by her response. He stood there with his arm outstretched while she walked away.
His left eye twitched as he watched the woman go. He had come from a refined background and even had attended school for etiquette as a young boy and here he had faltered twice with this woman.
His face turned red as he shouted after her.
"I JUST WANTED TO APOLOGIZE FOR EARLIER, YOU JERK!"
Taevius clamped his hands over his mouth and looked around quickly to make sure no one else was around.
He cursed to himself and ran to catch up to her.

"I JUST WANTED TO APOLOGIZE FOR EARLIER, YOU JERK!"
Alex stopped in mid walk. "What?!" she turned around and looked back at the man, her face beginning to turn red. "I'm the jerk because I had to pay for YOUR tea? Do you even know how much tea costs around here? It's expensive! And I hate tea!" Alex took a deep breath trying to calm down... "I'm sorry, I've had a bad day, I didn't mean to be rude to you."

"Nor I to you." he said as he finally stopped next to her.
"I will reimburse you for the tea and any trouble..." he trailed off as his eyes caught hers. After a few moments he finally snapped his attention over to a mailbox.
"Geez...what is it with me tonight..."
"Here." He abruptly said as he pulled out a checkbook and quickly scribbled one into a cashable amount. He ripped off the check and handed it to her. There were far more zeros than there needed to be for a cup of tea...even for this place.
His hair had caught the wind, and fine blonde strands whipped around his neck and ears. He smiled at her and tried to keep his eyes on her mouth this time instead of those beautiful deep violet pools of...
"I will see you again. It was my pleasure to meet you." Lord Taevius Alibaster turned on his heel, almost in a militaristic fashion, as he walked back the other way. He laughed to himself after he had gotten a block away from her.
"You fool...have you fallen in love with her simply because of her eyes, eh?" He chided himself. He had felt so miserable and alone after being seperated from the other Templar Knights.
"And now I have finally met......"
".....I forgot to ask her for her name."
(ooc: I'm good with that for my character, Saturn, you want to post and lock?)

Alex blinked a few times as she watched the man walk away. She felt herself blush a little. When he disappeared she hit herself in the forehead with her hand. "Stop it Alex..." she had forgotten about the check for those few moments but remembered it when she hit herself in the head from blushing. She looked at the check and noticed the name..."Lord Taevius Alibaster? I wonder where he's from..." She then looked at the amount on the check, "YIKES! If Silva knew he could sell tea for this much everyone would stop going to the patch cafe...I better not tell him..." She put the check in her pocket unsure of whether she should actually cash it or not and continued home.
(OOC: wohoo! roleplaying! And locking because it was requested by LC to lock after)
