Zinc was depressed. He felt heartbroken. He had returned to Patch Village, and even when he was completely in a wreck, nobody seemed to care about him any more.
Lovely never seemed to have time to give him a little hug any more. She was often too busy doing team stuff. He supposed that he couldn't really blame her for that.
But it was Alicia he felt most incensed by. She had made him a huge promise. She had read his diary, and found out the reason that he was the way he was. She had promised to turn him back. It still brought a tear to his eye, when he thought of how happy he had been when she had told him she would fight for him.
However, it was different, now. Alicia had even forgotten he was still alive. She was too occupied with that guy, Geo, the same Geo who had attacked, and tried to steal Fuuzaku away.
It was the latest incident that got to Zinc. Alicia had rushed right past him, to get to Geo, when the little Patch had tried to meet her and give her a hug. She was too busy, trying to get to Geo, to even care that he was there any more. She didn't want to help him any more.
So, it was now that Zinc was waiting at the spot that he had told to wait. The decision was now his: He could either join him, and or die. It was that way before, when he had received his injuries.
A poncho-wearing figure stood by. "Have you made your decision?"
"Hai, Nihao-sama."

Gus sat in the alley, watching suspiciously. Why was Zinc speaking to How? The man who, although he had cool pants, had murdered countless people? Gus' eyes squinted, becoming little slits. How could a Patch speak to such a man? It was despicable, that's what it was. Zinc... Gus had always resented him, mostly for his annoying way of speech, but he was still amazed that the boy could be so tainted. A freind of How does not deserve my attention. I shall not speak to this wretched boy again, unless I am watching him d-...
No. Then How would just kill me back. The cycle was endless. Besides... I told myself when I broke Loki's control, I wouldn't kill anymore. I guess...
I guess I'll just have to learn to live hating him, and deal with it. But I'll watch him; letting HIM kill when I knew what he was capable of is just as bad as killing someone myself.

The long haired poncho-donner kicked the little Patch into the nearby wall, and gave a sadistic grin. "You are barely worth my time." He walked off, and gave a chuckle of twisted pleasure.
Little Zinc just lay against the wall, thinking his decision over. What had he chosen to do? Was he really going to join Nihao? Was he just joining to kill Nihao? Or would he just choose to die?
((I'm not going to reveal what Zinc's decision is, until later in the summer stories. Then, you shall find out what happened to the small one.))
