OoC{ ... Don't ask me where this came from...All I know is I was just talking to this person I know about some stuff and we came up with this idea...;-; *hides from the crappiness* }
It was dim in the basement. Only a glimmer of light from a hole on the cellar door shined in the darkness. It was high noon and the heat was unbearable.
"Goddamned desert..." came a mutter from the blackness.
"C'mon Red, what're you gonna do, scream at the heat?"
"Maybe I will..." Red pouted stubbornly. "And why doesn't this basement have air condition?! We're not back in Shanghai dammit!"
Blue could only sigh, meaning he concurred with his sister.
"And I swear that little light is burning a hole through our floor..." Red threw a glance at the small light from outside and hissed at it as if it was an enemy.
Blue was about to drag Red away when a groan from the middle was heard.
"So, Sleeping Beauty finally decides to move her ass."
"Red!"
"Whaaaat? I'm grumpy! I need A.C! NOW!" she whined and put on a tantrum.
Sou Lang could only yawn and reached over to a thread of iron and pulled on it. The darkness fled as a lamp brightened the basement.
"AGH! THE LIGHT! IT BUUUUUUUURNSSSSS!" Red shrieked and flew around the room like a rabid dog.
"Come on Red, you're not going to die." The girl said flatly at the lamp.
"...I'm over here...I do not look like that lamp. That lamp is ugly, unlike me."
"I can't say I agree..." Blue murmured to himself, recieving a bite from his sister.
Sou Lang drew in a refreshing breath and looked at her fuzzy grayscale world. She stood up and took three steps to her mechanical set. She smiled gaily at the set and the little thing she was working on. It had been a spherical thing, the size of a marble and it was sliced upon its diameter, revealing the intricate wiring inside.
She beckoned for her helpers and the two robots lazily hovered to her side. She gestured for them to get the necessary accouterments and they quickly obeyed.
Soon, sparks erupted as the mechanic worked on the invention. Red and Blue peered over their master's shoulder to see the object.
"There, it's done." Sou Lang announced proudly. She melded the top half with the bottom and the white sphere was complete.
"Ooh...Ah....What is it?" Red asked as Blue nodded with the same inquiry.
"It's an exorcist bomb."
"...I don't understand the first part but I understand 'bomb'. Bomb equals BOOM." concluded Red.
"What are you Red, a primate?"
"Shaddup...."
Sou Lang cleared her throat as the two robots came to attention. "You see, exorcism bombs are like...a killer thing to ghosts. You know, exorcism and all that will send a spirit back to the other side since they're not supposed to be in the world of the living. This," she held up the sphere into the light. "will likely send all spirits back to the other side in peace."
"...And uh, why make this?" said the familiar voice called Red.
"Well, there's a lot of souls out there that need to go back home. And I just want to help them."
"But...if you do that, they won't be able to come back, right?" Blue blinked at her.
"Exactly. But you know, they deserve peace...And it can also get rid of those pesky ones that refuse to find rest." Sou Lang grabbed the sphere gingerly. "Of course, I shouldn't blow it here. The area of the bomb is pretty small right now but nonetheless...Last thing I need is to end up buried here."
Red raised her antennae. "How small?"
"Umm...About...a five-meter diameter."
"....And that means...?"
The girl sighed and stretched her arms to their full size. "About thiiis much, except a bit more. Or the size of the Patch Cafe with a little added extent."
"Oh..."
Blue couldn't help but interrupt. "So, if unleashed here, it'll send all the spirits inside the bomb range away happily?"
Sou Lang nodded then yawned. " I still need more sleep...Good um, noon you two. Don't play with the sphere. If it's even stepped on a bit, it'll explode. Any impact hard enough will set it off." She placed the item on her box and plopped on her bed, snoring as soon as she hit the pillow.
Red watched the sphere silently before twitching. "You know...the world should see how great this sphere is!"
Blue sharply glared at Red. "No. Remember what she said. If that goes off, we can be in big trouble. And I mean big. Really bi- HEY! PUT THAT DOWN!"
Red had already grasped the sphere with her antannae and headed out the cellar door. "C'mon~ she deserved some recognition!" She opened the wooden door and before Blue could protest, she had already emerged into the sunlight.
"AGH! IT BURNSSS!" Deja vu happened as Red ran around into the people and straightened her antannae. And so, the ball rolled away into the crowd of Shamans.
