I did some searching about a month back on the Italy sites to see if I could glean any information on this Winx Club thing that 4Kids is bringing to the states.
Brainwashing today's youth into beauty supplies and designer clothes I say...now I sound like a broken record...
I just now saw a commercial for Winx Club on the Fox Box and I can't understand how low quality animation like that gets on the air. Are they so desperate for shows targeting the young girl demographic that they'll use anything?
If there's one thing I can't stand in animation, it's still-frame animation. Transformers Armada used alot of it..."let's make the helicopter look like it's flying by dragging a static image of it across the screen...let's do a pan of characters talking by showing static images of their backs..."
ARGHH...
Anyway, Winx Club...yeah, lots of still-frame animation.
I'm prediciting total failure of this show unless there actually is some untapped market of girls desperate to wear designer clothes and beauty supplies.
