I like the Tao Ren one a lot, although his hair sort of reminded me of Trowa Barton's. Were you trying to do Ren with a different style?

No, no new style, MetaKnight. I just screwed up his hair... Okay, I took some of my free time to do some more drawing... You've been warned... 1. Tamao: I know I drew her face too big and one of her eyes is a bit screwy, but I'm proud of the hair so don't bash it too much. 2. Yami Bakura: Okay, I'm not sure where I went wrong with this fella. Somehow he looks high... 3. Opacho: I think I pulled her off somewhat. But if it looks weird, tell me. 4. Jun: I don't know! *sobs* It doesn't look like her and I don't know why! Maybe I drew the face too wide? 5. Mari: This is my first attempt at anatomy. I couldn't figure out how to do the hands, so I put them behind her back...*hides in shame* Also, I don't have any full screen shots of her so I kinda "made up" the rest of her dress and stuff... Soooooooooo, What do you think? *holds up shield* |

I really like your Jun one a lot, it bears a very good resemblence to her (I should talk since I still can't draw her  ). Can we expect any more of your work Renna J? |

These are all pretty good. Maybe make mari's waste a little wider. I like the one of ren. this is a crazy idea but draw that picture twenty times. it'll look 20 times better. Ooh OOh drawing I love it. Also look at the way lines are marked in the manga. You might see that it doesn't take too many lines to make a good idea come across. plus its easier than trying to draw free hand. Also give it a try in ink, with a very fine point marker/pen(for alittle challenge).

Mari could have a bigger body or a smaller head, beacause she looks like those bobble heads that you can get at stores.

The Jun one was terrific! You got her kind look in the eyes.
SorryFrankensteiny was right when he said to look at the manga pics, sometimes I stare at it
for so long that the characters are easy to draw afterwards.
Copying a pic from the manga also helps with the correct positioning of the lines.

Hey, don't be rude! We all weren't very good at drawing in the beginning, but we got better in time. She's been drawing for a couple of months, it's not going to look like a drawing by Turner, but it isn't going to look that bad, give her a break. Trash talk isn't going to help her drawings improve. Be polite!!!!!

Thank you all for the critiques. As I said back when I posted that, it was my first attempt at anatomy. So of course it was going to look weird.
SorryFrankensteiny, thanks for your concern, but it doesn't bother me that Lobster is rude. He doesn't know how to be any other way, perhaps because it scares him and might make him appear to have emotion. He's always like that, so it's a waste of energy and time to address it.
Tokumei, I agree that she's too skinny. Thanks for the critique. I would hope that you said it in an attempt to help me improve and not to just be tactless.
Renluver, that's a great idea. I shall try it.
MetaKnight: Yes, but not for a while. I have a lot of projects at work I'm completing and I'm writing my third fic. But I'm still practicing. Just not scanning...

You obviously didn't read what I wrote, which is odd because you quoted it. I never said you didn't have any emotion. Everyone has and expresses emotion off line. I was referring to your on line persona. Didn't say you don't have it, I'm saying you don't show it. It's perfectly understandable. Some people don't. I do it sometimes. When I said "he doesn't know any other way" I meant that's how you express yourself on line. It's the persona you created. Not a personal attack or diagnosis, just an observation. No need to get your feathers ruffled because someone offended you. If I got upset everytime someone said something I didn't like, I would such an unhappy person. The point is, it's useless to address it because I don't care. That's why I said you don't bother me. It's because you don't. You were obviously offended by what I wrote, so maybe I didn't word it correctly. I can't control what people think and feel about me so I don't try.
Thank you for your critiques though. No one gets better at anything without criticism.

*looks upa at the the drawings* Wow....i surely have been a lazy ass....well i guess i'll just have to move my big stupid butt and write something...anyway (i'm sure nobody missed me XDD) Renna, your drawings are very nice but they need a little more work...my personal favourite are the Yoh, Ren and Jun ones...and some people say your drawings suck *caugh* i think they don't!
I mean come on guys..i know it is okay to tell where you did wrong so that she will not make mistakes again..but it's all in the way you say it...i beg of you...please stop it with the "It's f***ed up" or "They suck!"....it's not nice and furthermore very rude....you can at least try to say where she went wrong...
