Since niji finally joined the board, I can post this. XD

This is a collab niji and I did. I drew the picture, and she colored it on the computer using photoshop. I decided to make a new thread for it since both niji and I worked on it.

Both coloring and drawing is really awesome... as I have probably said before... yeah... I've already commented on LJ.... Well, because I am a bastard art student, and you requested it in the past, I might aswell give advice....

While the coloring style and shading is fairly constant throughout the image, 3 things kinda leap out at me as things that could probably be fixed a bit. The Weapons. I assume the boomerage is wood..... some lines and such would probably help it be more believavle as such. The symbols on it should also probably be more flat colors, without outlines, unless those sectons are actually raised form the rang's surface. The sword handle kinda looks like the grip on tennis rackets, which is a good material for a swrod handle, especially in what seems like a semi-modern world. However, it would have been nice to see places where the material overlaps, like the grip tape we have in this world. The blade is nice though, it's nice to see one that isn't crazy shiny and looks like it was just pulled from a blister pack.

Despite the general flat colors overall and sub-dued shading, I would have liked to see more details on the gun.... it's not really bad though... although there are composition problems in relation to the blade.

I'm still not thrilled on color choice for clothes on the blonde girl....but that's probably just personal pref.

The hair and clothes and skin and such is all actually really nice. It's not too detailed, but it's clear tons of work went into it, and it doesn't look half assed at all. Nice work both of you.

Yeah, it isn't very noticeable at all, but Gun Girl looks like she's on front, yet the sword and Sword Gir's hair are in front of her..
I should have fixed that, but I didn't want to erase any of resurie's lines, for the sake of.. yeah. <_<
But the drawing job is awesome, overall.

I still don't understand how that coloring took me so long, and still it looks.. plain. >_>
And I hate that background XD;

I love how you guys did the characters. Their personalities almost jumps out at you the second you look at the picture. The coloring is also done very well.
