My first ever fanfiction! Enjoy!
INCEST/SHOUNEN-AI
Part 1, Chapter 1, Section 1
Jun's Point of View
Jun silently stepped into her brother’s room, as heavy breathing echoed throughout his enormous chambers. A gym, a kitchen, a guestroom, you name it, Ren had it. Jun sighed.
At times Ren appears a tad selfish to the untrained eye. But that isn’t it at all! She thought indignantly. I fear for him. He always maintains the same glacial, coldhearted exterior, but he is my brother, and I know better than that. I know him better than that. Ren is different, very different from how he presents himself to the world. We were taught that feelings are weaknesses that will destroy everyone and anyone, so Ren denies his own to no end. God only knows what chaos is ensuing in that boy’s mind. Puberty is hard enough without withholding your own emotions. What Ren needs is a…a friend. Yoh and the others hung around for a while, but after the Shaman tournament, everyone ceased visiting, perhaps in part due to Ren’s awful temper. And yet, he has been behaving in a peculiar way. He blushed when I suggested he move in with the Asakuras, stammering some crap about his duty as my brother. Ren is fully aware that I am sufficiently capable of taking care of myself. But I didn’t interrogate him further. There was another reason. Ren is always up to something. Oh, I forgot something, or actually, someone. You see, Horo had not given up on Ren just yet. Despite the obvious disdain shown to him by my baby brother, he has managed to stop by the hotel each week, bearing a grin and occasionally a small gift. Horo calls every night, also, when and if he remembers… It’s not like I eavesdrop or anything. It would be rather difficult to not overhear their… loud conversations. And despite all the insults my brother hurled at Horo, or perhaps, because of them, he has a soft spot for his Ainu companion. More than he would admit to, anyway. And I don’t question Horo’s fondness for my little brother. No one sticks by Ren for this long unless they are either insane, suicidal, or a rabid fangirl. Horo, well, most call him crazy, or just plain stupid, but I think him brave. Brave, risking injury by befriending a heartless fiend, as Ren is referred to, when Anna isn’t occupying that title. Brave, daring to do what others could only dream of, or scoff at. Brave, to love Ren.
“Sweet dreams, Ren,” she whispered into the darkness. The silk sheets rustled, and the moonlight streaming through the window illuminated Ren’s bare chest before Jun clicked the lock behind her and strode down the corridor to her room.
