It started with a kiss.
Not just any kiss...but his first kiss...
Girls might not know this, but a first kiss is a powerful thing in a young man's life. It is a memorable thing that changes what they think...how they feel...for the rest of that young man's life.
And so, several years later, Jeremy was still chasing after the cute girl of mixed Korean descent.
He gave no heed to her lies about seeing dead people...or how she fought in a tournament who's matches were held in the wee hours of the morning. He would simply smile and listen where others would laugh and move on.
Her short supply of friends had dwindled over the years to just one because of those stories she told...
...she had decided to invite him this evening to her match.
Truth be told...all this time she thought that Jeremy believed her. She found out differently this night in the rain and sleet as he stumbled down the docks away from her. Fear was the only thing in his eyes whenever he looked up at her now. No smile adorned his face.
She had become some kind of monster...or demon! Sparks of blue and red light glittered around the bladed fan she held at her side. In the distance, a humanoid shape lay unmoving against the slush and cement...was it still alive?
A shadowy figure stood atop one of the warehouses dressed in some kind of strange garb. The same kind as the wrist band that the girl had started wearing day in and day out. Jeremy couldn't see any eyes underneath that mask the figure wore...but he was sure they were staring down at him.
Jeremy wanted to run, but his legs refused to cooperate.
The young girl wanted to speak...but her heart was already breaking with every step he took to get away from her.
Her only friend...
His only love...
...would they be forever lost in that moment?
I'll leave you guys hanging...you can decide the outcome!
Or I'll give it a happy ending...
Though tears came to her eyes, and her heart splintered to pieces, the girl ran towards him. She dropped her bladed fan in the slush and embraced Jeremy.
...and it ended with a kiss.
Not just any kiss...but a kiss of true love...
They stood there in one-another's arms knowing that no matter what happened from this night on, they would always be together.
Not just any kiss...but his first kiss...
