Hey I was wondering if any one else had heard the new System of a Down CD Mezmerized, I really like this one, BYOB is my favorite song on the album.

I want this CD so bad v_v ! I've heard BYOB on the radio and I just love it. It's like five songs in one!
I ALMOST bought this CD at Walmart the other day, but then I noticed that the CD was edited, so I put it back. *sigh*.

I actually was going to buy the unedited copy but they said since I was 17 and it was a mature cd that I could not purchase it. So I just burned my friends, alot cheaper also.

I thought about buying this CD but I didn't want to get it and only like 2 songs on the album. (I hate when that happens.) I don't know anyone who has bought it yet so I can't test it out.  |

Ok... this thread... it's... ancient.... But It took me forever to find it so I'm reviving it!
I finally did find and purchase the unedited version of Mezmerized CD and.... I loved it! Almost every song fills me with head bobbing joy!
The only song I'm not a huge fan of is the last Hollywood song (not "Old School Holywood.")
The music reminds me a bit of the music in Revolutionary Girl Utena. If you think about it too hard it'll hurt, but once you sit back and realise that about half of it makes no sense, it's aaaalllll good.
There's a lot of political stuff on the disk too (like BYOB), but there's also a lot of stuff that just sounds great and upbeat and often times humerous.
So yeah, now I'm a System of a Down fan. The thing I like about this band is that yeah, they scream sometimes, BUT when they sing normally, they have GREAT voices. I find a lot of these types of groups normally can't back up the screaming with good "regular" vocals.
(For example, I think the Offspring have made some great songs. But thier actuall singing voices are pretty bad ^^;. )
My favorite track on the CD is probably "Revenga" followed up by "Sad Statue" and "Question".
Recently, I bought the S.O.A.D CD "Steal this Album." And no, I didn't steal it, though I was severly tempted!
Don't love the CD AS MUCH as Mezmerized. But I do like it.
The first song is a random lil' song about Pizza *laughs*. I don't know if there is a deeper meaning to it, but I suspect not.
