I'm interested in seeing if any of you have any connections to famous people. You don't have to be direct, maybe someone related to, a third cousin of, a freind of a freind who's freind is famous, you're from/ live in the hometown of so-and-so's, stuff like that. Just nothing like "I saw so-and-so on TV", or "I saw so-und-so speak at a rally". To show you what I mean, I'll go first. My middle school principal was the cousin of Vanilla Ice, a white rapper from the '90s, and I live in Chris Farley's hometown (my cousin goes to the same school he did!) For those interested, for his senior prank Chris Farley let pigs loose on the third floor of his school. I don't know how, but apparantly he did. He also based his SNL character, Matt Foley, off of one of his teachers who still teaches there.

Don't know if this counts, but my cousin used to live on the same street as Chuck Norris. I've never met him but meh. (not really a fan so I wasn't excited *bricked*)

Well, I'm related to a few very famous people in Nicaragua. Two of the most famous-- Fernando "Negro" Chamorro (my mom's father) and Jose Maria Moncada (dad's grandfather; he was the president of Nica. once). ...Like anyone knows what I'm talking about. XD; Fernando Chamorro was known because he launched a rocket from the Intercontinental Hotel here. There was a small war at the time. o_O He's also known to everyone in my mother's hometown. As for Jose Moncada, he was one of the least corrupt presidents of Nicaragua. He did a lot of stuff I don't know about. :D But I do know he built a beautiful house (in which my uncle lives in) and a train station that's no longer in use right next to it. My dad always tells people this when we go to his house... xD; "Reporters would come here and ask Moncada, 'Mr. Moncada, why do you put those holes in the walls of your house?' to which he would reply, 'Because it's my house and I feel like putting them there.'" xD;; It's true. Oh, also, that house has the sword of William Walker on the wall. o_o Ah, and there's a lot of priceless books that he wrote there as well. I'm related to bunch of other famous politicians. xD; But I don't remember their names. Oh, and one of my last names, Rapaccioli, they were the most wealthiest people in Nicaragua. But since no one in my family is corrupt... >_> we own nothing now. Or as my sister likes to put it-- "So basically, we used to own everything in Nicaragua, but now we own jack-shit?" Yep. :D I can't think of anything else, and I probably bored you all, so byebye. :D

My friend is related to Sousa (the composer; forgot his first name ), if that counts... John Philip Sousa, that certainly counts. I though of another one. My dad, who is a big Yes[/i] fan, entered a contest to see who could re-mix a Yes song the best, the software was on a certain site, but I forgot it's name. Anyways, long story short, he won. The contest was to win a 4 day trip to London to see Yes play live at the Royal Albert Hall, with box-seats (they kind of suck, really far away), it also included back stage passes for after the show. During the show, since the box seats were so far away, I used my binoculars to see the band, one of the bands guitarists, Billy Sherwood, noticed me, and did the goggle signal with his hands. He was referencing me, live, on stage, in the middle of the concert! After the show, backstage, when I told him that it was me he saw, he was quite surprised. In the backstage room, a good chunk of the band was drinking. We ended up getting a family photo of me, my Mom, my Dad, and the bands lead singer Jon Anderson. We also got signatures on an album from all but one of the band members, Igor Koroschev, who was already hammered beyond comprehension. That all took place in February of 2000, but was very exciting to say the least. My dad acted as if he'd won the lottery or something. My mom had the trip extended to 10 days so we could go to France and see Paris (she wante to see the Louvre, and other French art galleries), we ended up staying there 2 days, and going back to the U.K. for the remaining 4.

Well, I know that my band teacher from high school was the drummer for Gladys Knight and the Pips for a while.
The comedian Wanda Sykes also attended same said high school too.
Oh, and my grandmother (from my mother's side) was a tailor for Ceaser Romeo (The Joker from the old, starring Adam West, Batman TV show)
Ah, so THAT explains what you put for your location.

My biological father is the mayor of a town in Washington named Pacific. The family can also be traced back to Ulysses S. Grant, former president of the United States.
My dad (he adopted me)'s family can be traced back to Samuel B. Morse, who invented Morse Code. My grandfather was also a guard at Alkatraz.
My mom's side of the family is related to Charles E. Curtis, first Native American Vice President of the USA (http://www.vpcharlescurtis.net/). Also, my mom's side of the family is descended from Oceanus Hopkins, the only child to be born on the Mayflower (ironically, so was one of my high school classmates).
My History of Animation and Life Drawing teacher in college was Bob Abrams, who worked on the Beeny and Cecil cartoon, as well as many other things (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0009163/)
My Animation teacher was Tony White, who animated the award-winning opening credits for "Pink Panther Strikes Back" (http://www.tonywhite.net/).
