I just found out that in January, Media Play stores will close. They have started having their store closing sales around here. The weird thing is that MediaPlay.com will still be available even after the stores have closed. I will miss Media Play, they had a much better anime selection than Best Buy, and they had the neat toys and Japanese candy.

On the bright side, everything's on sale now! Woohoo, Fullmetal Alchemist t-shirt for meeeeeeee... but yeah, it sucks that they're closing. (Is Best Buy even going to carry Avatar?! Damn it I don't WANT to get gouged on S&H by Nickelodeon's store!) I won't have a place to find artbooks anymore... Waldenbooks only has them on special order... RARGH STUPID CORPORATE AMERICA.
I think this is rather in the wrong forum, also.

I've never had a Media Play in my area, so I'm not really feeling the sadness. My symapthies to those of you who have them though. It's true, anyplace with JPN candy is a placed to be missed. Heh ^^;. Off topic Innle commenting: I'm fairly certain the Avatar DVD can be bought from other online stores besides Nick's store ^^;. (see, cheap at DVD Universe) |

My sympathy is given. Sadly, I've never even been in one..... I stick to Suncoast when in dire need of...er. Fandomish things. But not so much now that Walden Books has started selling Jump imports. mmph.

www.internet.com/z0mg you can BUY THINGS FROM THE INTERNET!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!!!111 .. I believe you can buy japanese candy from Discountanimedvd, in bulk as well. But their shipping time sucks ass. I've been waiting for something from them for three months now.
