So not everyone can hop aboard the bandwagon with popular opinions, for example I don't think Duel Master completely sucks. I think the show is fine, I just wish the VAs were more into it.
This is a thread that's all encompassing (movies, books, games, shows, anime what have you) so feel free to post an opinion about anything (even if its just a disagreement with the general consensus of your friends or an entire message board).
Even though this is the Unpopular Opinion thread, no flaming please. The thread implies that these opinions get a lot of flack in the first place, so no flames.
My other unpopular opinions are as follows:
-I like Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII, and think she's the best female character in the game. In any case, I find her more likeable than either Aerith and Tifa.
-I think Final Fantasy IX accomplishes what VII fails to do in terms of plot and character development. In fact, I consider IX to be a bastardized remake of VII.
-I like Chrono Cross better than Chrono Trigger. And I think the battle system in Cross is great.
-I hated Miaka and Tamahome in Fushigi Yuugi. Miaka suffered from her Mary-Sue(ness) and the way she kept trying to solve her problems (which had her running away, effin' up and causing trouble for the other characters) got on my last nerve. I hate Tamahome by association.
-In contrast, I loved Yui (also from FY), because she was flawed. She was simply put, too easy to hate and that's why I loved her. I also like Nakago. And I think those two are much better than the incompotent Miaka and that love-sick twit Tamahome.
-I hate Final Fantasy VIII's Rinoa for the very same reason as I hate Miaka. But Squall didn't get ruined by association.
-Speaking of VIII, I hate how Square decided to simply abandon the other characters' development and focus entirely on Squall and Rinoa. I happened to enjoy Quistis and Zell, and didn't mind Selphie and Irvine, and hated they were all but ignored after disc 2.
-On that note, I like Final Fantasy VIII. It's not the horrible game many people think it is, all things considered.
-I think I dislike the entire yaoi fandom of Naruto and the portion of the Inu Yasha fandom that adores Kagome. There's such a thing as too much... In Naruto it's the yaoi (and it doesn't help that Ive never liked any of the female characters), entirely too much of it. It's beyond irritating.
-In Kagome's case. She's also a Mary-Sue. I also hate the way that in the series and fan fiction, Kagome is always right! No matter how wrong she is.
-Also, I hate the frequent and completely unneccessary Jaken abuse that goes on most of the fan fics I've read. Give 'im a break already.
-I don't think Family Guy, Futurama, or the Daily Show with Jon Stewart is funny. At all.
That's all I can think of, for now. So what are your unpopular opinions?
