Does anyone here think that online relationships are totally lame and shouldn't exist and are, "unatural," and you can't find real/true love online?

Meh.
I personally believe they're pointless, but whatever. I'd say something reaaaaaaaaally mean to you right now, but I'm tired and I realize how f**ked up it'd be... so whatever.
To each his own.

I totally agree with you, AF. For many reasons, one of the major ones being that I don't think anybody can have a relationship with someone they've never met; it's too easy to be fake over the internet.

One could argue that it's impossible to find "true love" in real life. I mean, From experience, it's a snap to be fake in real life as well.

Actually, I support them...I was just wondering if anyone on this board thought that what I said...

I agree with Lovely, your opening post made it seem like you were dissing them. Be a little more clear next time, yes?
As for my own opinion, I personally don't like them. I prefer to be able to see and touch that person than just read a bunch of text (and don't mention webcams, because it's not the same as really seeing someone). But on the other hand, I'm not against them. If people think they really love someone they met on the internet, then that's fine.

Well it depends on alot of things.
Some people are only doing online relationships to get their kicks and I guess if the other person feels the same way its fine.
Some people use the internet to find people become friends then someday meet and fall in love.
And lastly somepeople treat a on line relationship as a serious commitment. (too bad over the internet marriges are not legally binding)
Depends on what kind of level of seriousness people take it as.
I'd be the kind to meet someone and just be friends, then maybe someday meet them. SOMEDAY after I figure out if they are a loose serial killer or not... But to think it will last or it will be taken too far without seeing each other is kind of naive..and you know it is if Im saying so...

I totally agree with you, AF. For many reasons, one of the major ones being that I don't think anybody can have a relationship with someone they've never met; it's too easy to be fake over the internet. likewise, I trust a "date" or relationship over the internet 100% as much as having a relationship with someone over the phone 100%... It can be simply done for amusement... you dont know if the other already have a real life date or partner... along with other reasons that involve your safety even... However, like the phone, the internet can be a medium to continue or start a relationship, but I would expect you know, have known, or atleast will know the person IN PERSON. so overall, it isnt to say online relationships are lame/should not exist/unatural and you cant find true love online, but I wont put much, if any, trust into a 100% online relationships.

In a very "dude" response, you can do it, but it's a serious cock block.................................. what?

In a very "dude" response, you can do it, but it's a serious cock block.................................. what? That's pretty much the best answer anybody could give to a question like this. But it's AF, so I'm not sure getting laid would be an option either way.((^that last part was kind of f**ked up, and I realize it. But hey, if it offended you you shouldn'tve done the whole select so you can see it thing.))
