Topic of the week: Episode 17 ......what......was.......that??!!!! ok, were Millie and that other girl (forgot her name) alley girls?  thats just plain evil.....4kids has poisoned their minds.....and forced them to their bidding!!! *Scene: Original Millie being given drugs by 4kids* Millie: hey, what are all these long things in my ice cream? 4kids: um.......well, you cant have ice cream without toppings, now can you? ^_^; Millie: hmmmmmm....... 4kids: ^_^;;; if you eat your ice cream like a good little girl, you can have a date with Lyserg! Millie: PRINCE LYSERG??!!! *eats ice cream and then falls asleep* 4kids: muhahahahahaha...now, the other members of the Lily 5...... SEE?  !!!! |

Not to mention Konchi and Ponchi's voies sound like they'll be torture to hear...and Tamao's new name...The scary part is, I joked about that before. "Well, if Manta's 'Morty' and Ryu's 'Rio', what does that make Tamao? Tammy?" And, so, this morning..."Oh good lord, they really did it?! I jinxed it!!"  |

YOU JINXED IT??!!!! ....yeh, its not your fault. this episode was really messed up by 4kids (but i hafta admit, i thought Ryu's singing was hilarious). y'no, i expected Ponchi and Konchi's voice to be the MOST ANNOYING voices in the world....but they were actually better than i expected...by a bit. well, lets go see how Millie-chan is doing T_T: Millie (who finally awoke and found herself in a dark room): huh? where am i? what's going on!!?? 4kids (concealed in the blackness): meheheheheh..... Millie: HEY! NOW I REMEMBER! YOU PROMISED ME A DATE WITH PRINCE LYSERG! WHERE IS HE!!?? 4kids: oh yesssssssssss...we made a deal, didnt we? here she issssssss..... Millie: whadaya mean- *turned around and saw Lyserg* Lyserg (with a....girl's...voice): hello! ^______^ Millie (with Psycho music ensuing): AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!! @_@ 4kids: mehehehehehehehehe MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a little random info: I'm not really sure of this or not, since I've only heard so much of dub Tamao's voice, but I believe she's voiced by Veronica Taylor. I'll try to catch it tomorrow to make sure.
Her guardian spirits are a torture to hear though. -.- Again, I'll have to check up on that when I get a chance.

yep, its Veronica Taylor's voice alright. note how much it sounds like from Yukino from Kare Kano and Ash- er, Satoshi's mom from Pokemon...not like i really watch it nemore, i just remember. funny how she can voice for a boy, a mom, a 12-yearold girl, and a freshman....sigh...well, it coulda been worse, if u ask me. speakin of our two favorite pink animal spirits, is the fox Ponchi or Konchi? well, discussion of episode 17 is over. remember, wake up at 10:30 am eastern & 9:30 central time!

Her voice is Veronica Taylor? Oh! That's why I liked it ^^; . When I was watching the dub today, I kept on thinking... "Man, I like her voice ^^ ." Oh, I like V. Taylor because I'm a big fan of the Kare Kano dub. But yeah, I liked her portrayal as Tamao. So, in my fantasy version of the dub, she gets to keep her role  . (Crispin Freeman get's the roll of Faust in my fantasy dub, by the way .) |

ooh, what to say about this dubbed episode.... it was better than what it sounded like it would be a week ago. yeh, that valley girl tone did seem to be dropped down a notch (thankfully), Tamara really isnt such a bad dubbed name (and her voice suited her), kept Ponchi and Konchi's names, etc. the only thing that really irked me were TWO mentions of cheeseburgers (with one being Yoh's favorite food cheeseburgers and fries.. ) and that out-of-the-blue thing about Loche. hehehe...and Ryu was a child molester! heheheheh Dubbed Episode rating: **** out of ***** |

well, i found out the nex episode: Big Souls of the Two, a.k.a. Yoh vs Ren: Part 1....great. from reading an episode summary of the original episode, here is what will probably happen: we'll have to endure "Lenny's" lame puns and comments, insults to Ren from every single piece of dialouge from Yoh, and some several different story changes.  ...i cant wait until i'll get my hands on the subbed dvds..just u wait, 4kids. JUST YOU WAIT!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-*cough*hahahahah-*cough, cough* ....excuse me, i need to take my effexor....calms the nerves... |

Oh right, episode comparison 17 will be up in a bit ^_~ . I'm done with the writing, I just need to add the pictures.
This comparison took FOREVER to write. And I discovered why I was being so slow to write it in the first place, there is a good amount of references to myths and legends in both the sub AND the dub that I had to go write about and look up (online and in my book collection). Geeeez....
