Whoo-hoo! The episode today really wasn't all bad. I think today's episode was actually, as some might call it, great! but i don't know how it compares with the jap version.....-_- . well, off to my ups and downs of the episode:
Good points:
1. i don't know if that soap opera was in the original
not, but i thought it was funny...especially with the
conversation between Silva & Karimu
2. no mention of cheeseburgers
3. kept the name "massashi".....surprisingly
4. made it obvious that Tamao actually has a crush on Yoh
5. kept the name of Ren's kwan dao (no more "sword on
a stick", thank u very much
6.no lame puns or insults! (yay!)
bad points:
1.return of Ren's "lovely" voice-over
rating:**** out of *****

Another bad point- "IF REN LOSES AGAINST YOH, HE WILL BE DESTROOOOYED." -En Tao. Shut up, man! Ai. Um, well fine Mr. Necromancer, take everything i was about to say! Arrr. The music seemed better in this eppie for some reason...like in the fighting part... it might just be me i dunno. I rememeber that in the 3rd ep, when Ren chopped the truck in half, they totally changed the music for the dub, and the Japanese music was waaay better so that's why I'm asking...cuz I dont have this ep in Japanese (ha! i only have the first 3!) so i wouldnt know.

I dunno if this is just me or what, but the soap opera thing didn't work for me. Well, not at the part where Silva was trying to deny watching them. It just wasn't funny to me. -.- But I did like how they tried to make it relate to Anna, Yoh, and Tamao midway through the ep.

Actually Tamao's name in the dubbed is Tamara, but Yoh calls her Tam or Tammy, but if you watch the episdoes everyone else calls her Tamara. The only time I've seen Yoh call her Tamara is when he talks to her outside the tunnel of Tartarus, when he asks if she had a vision of him eating about a dozen cheeseburgers (I know what you're thinking, again with the cheeseburgers)
