That logo looks like something I would have come up with when I was 3 no 2, by the age of 3 I knew what tacky was >.<.

Who couls have come up with such a bad logo.

And they still haven't updated the shaman king page, and I thought my site's up dates were slow.

But of course it has been comming to this since foxkids were murdered shut down.


I did check out the little thingy on the page about 4kids TV and they said every weekend morning.

so maybe we'll ge a new eppy of sk on saturdays and sundays over here. ;D

First I went "oh dear god.... NOOOOOO! *pulls a Munch*" for a bit. A name like "4 Kids TV" will be the tackiest thing anyone, child or elder will see in the TV Guide and this does mean that every single show on there will be heavily edited. (BTW...this does wreak the stench of "monopoly" or not I dunno...no wait..."Globalisation of TV dubs" is what it is...Plant a couple seeds there some here at another station, let them poliferate for a bit...either way its like coporate take over of the worst kind)

More like taken over by a bunch of capitalist bozos with no real interest for the common viewer or fan or citizen who may like the original version but are only dissapointed when they find out that guns have become pointy fingers of doom ready to send you to a different Realm (tm) and that characters that you loved in teh original have been reduced to tools with no vocab and whom are either too stupid to notice the differences between "For Teens" and "For Kids" animes from Japan or are hired by like some board hellbent on giving dubs a bad name thus undermining the effort in some ways to bring animes to the USA....that and crazy censorship stuff that I as a Canadian will never understand... Yeah...er---righto.

There's a little promotional video...you guys think that logo is bad...that logo is art compared to this video...I cringed when I saw the first 5 seconds...

Though i am a little bit thankful that's all it is, when i saw the thread i was like, no more foxbox!? As in they were gonna take it off, and all their shows, meaning no more Shaman King. I think i'd die if there was no more SK on tv...>< Aw well, we cant do anything about it i guess....except bomb 4kids with fruit...mwaha....;;

Initial thoughts on "4kidsTV":

1.So it's a name change, big deal. Now the name more accurately reflects the fact that 4kids owns that block of programing. And, Anime fans will realise upon first glance that it is an "adapted" and "edited" as heck programing block .

2. A big block of lime green is NEVER a pretty color on a web page @_@ . I'm just sayin' .

3. "We have gone down a little bit in terms of the age group we appeal to?"
No they haven't. They've ALWAYS tried to appeal to the younger demographic. Why do you think I've never approved of them picking up Shaman King ? (and now One Piece, which I realised how ridiculous it was of them to pick up after watching it.)

4. This seems like 4kids wants to break away from Fox in general. If they rename their block to something WITHOUT "Fox" in the name, they probably have more freedom to give out their shows to whatever station they want. This isn't fact by the way, it's just a conjecture on my part.

I have to agree with Lovely. Although, when I first read the title of this thread I got worried...I don't have cable and I like watching Shaman King, it's the only show I watch on tv.

Then after I got past the misleading title of this thread I didn't see what the big deal was. So they want their name more visible now...they are a company that cares about money, it makes perfect sense to me. Although I do find their logo tacky and overly childish, but I guess that's who they want to target then fine by me. I'm sure the individual who designed their logo was told exactly who 4kids wanted it to appeal to, the little kiddies and not the adults. Their company name even has the word "kids" in it.

I say let them do it. I'll keep watching my Shaman King until it's over. If they lose ratings because of their childish logo then fine, maybe they will make it a little more "older kid" friendly in the future.

You guys are overacting.It's not that bad.Though i shall miss the foxbox.~snif ~It was the last of Fox Kids and now it's gone.Oh well.It just kinda of freaked me out with all the little happy kid voices and then Yoh pops up.That was a little weird.And I was really hoping that they would show TMM this weekend but this?That's nothing special.But it did make me feel like I was looking at the splash page for a kiddie block so in the words of Mari:

I don't know if it's related anyway, but my channel that plays FoxBox (now 4kids, I guess) changed their name or something. It used to say on all the ads and logos Fox27 and now it says KSFX or something, Fox of the Ozarks. Ozarks' Fox, something like that anyway. I kinda like it though. I'm in Branson, btw.

I missed Fox Kids, but the thing thats ticking me off about 4kids, is the continuation of 4 Kids 5. MY GOD, how could they be so willing to do so $#@@ songs even if they're payed to that. Oh and by the way that commercial in that foxbox site, it made PBSKIDS seem exciting to adults.

How many 4kids signed the thing that says they agree to this name change, cause well i think even if they dont care whose watchin it, dont theu care for ratings, i mean i dont think even little kids would watch, i would rather that ugly UGLY host for foxbox then that name change, isnt the host kiddy enough!

Then i think, what will 4 kids do next....
They'll just destroy the anime world, but look on the bright side they might lose a lot of money from the loss of viewers and they might not then be able to buy Naruto. (YAY)

It stinks they dont have a channal for older kids with other animes or redubs of 4kids anime (i.e. Uncut versions)

You're right Lovely. The name in particular doesn't bother me. It's that logo that irked me...too colorful and bright for resurie's dark color tastes....>< Oh...and that promotional video...@_@

I just hope they don't play that song on TV...
