Epi 41: Hanagumi! Round 2 !

First off, my favorite Mikihisa line is NOT in this episode, it's in episode 42. I would like to apoligise to Resurie for the hit I placed on her. No worries, you should be fine if you just hide out 'till morning ^_~ .


O.k, concerning the episode. After the prettyness of last episode it looks like they cut back on the budget for this one ^^; . Ah well. It's a fun episode none-the-less.

SPOILERS, Note style!***
The first apperance of the digital Manjien. There is a LOT of Japanese text in these computer screens. So of course that will be edited. I hope they keep the basic humor of the site in tact though. It should be noted that it is THIS episode that Manta says he can help out by searching for information (as opposed to the dub where he made this announcement in episode 25,26 I believe 0_0 .)

Jun and Pailong have a moment. Jun is cute this episode ^^; .

Ren confuses the word "Upload" for "AppleRoad" . ^^; . Chocolove feels as if a joke has been stolen from him because of this ^^; . Ah yes, our Ren, the computer "expert" ^^; .

Something I didn't notice my first time watching this episode... BOTH Ren and HoroHoro mention what it's like to have siblings. Nobody thinks much about this at the time but...

It's fun to see that Anna has the power to embarass Ren.

Chocolove joke

I only mention this because I feel bad for the rewriters who have to make up something to fit the context AND the visuals ^^; .

At one point Chocolove says "Oh my God" in English. I only mention this because it was funny. heh ^^; .

It's interesting that Marco holds back Lyserg when Lyserg sees Hao and goes into "HAAAAAAAOOO! mode" . I guess the X-laws are good for somethin' huh ^_~?

At one point Chuck becomes a large Bazooka. I'm wondering if that will be edited. And if so... how 0_o ? A gian rattle ^^; ? Dear lord XD ....

"Big Oversouls" make their apperance this episode. The "Big Oversoul" wasn't in the manga right?

I noticed this episode but... Hao has an odd love for making a big enterance doesn't he? It's kind of unnecesary sometimes. Especially in this episode when he was nearbye ANYWAYS .

Something else I didn't quite notice the first time I watched this episode is that Hao whispers to Yoh about Yoh "being a part of him". However, Hao then goes on to well.... kind of yell out that Yoh is his younger brother. Did Hao do this to create some stress amongst the group? Hmmmmm... crafty guy...

Mikihisa shows up and says somethings in his usual layed back style. The style he no longer has in the dub *weep*. Have I mentioned that I hate his dub voice ^_~ ? ***


This episode doesn't play Braveheart! Instead it plays one of Yoh's insert songs! It's inserted at such a good moment too. I soooooo like this song and I would love to put it up on the site, but I don't have the webspace for it. I'm sorry everyone . The song is called "Silent Weapon". If you try to find it, I should mention that there are actually two versions out there.
One, which is used in the series, is sung by Yoh's VA and is entirely in Japanese. The other, is sung by another lady and it has an english chorus (well... pretty close to english ^^; .) I

My translation has Anna saying that the dagger is from the National Treasury... Doubt that'll be there (since apparently there are no countries in the dub version). But her comment "Don't break it" probably will.

Trying to figure out how the "tan-ton" joke will be translated... umm... hmmm... Well, I suppose they could have Horohoro say "Do you have the information, or do we have to drum it out of you" and then he could do the drum thing...

The "you don't understand because you don't have siblings" line might not be changed, but it won't be as funny when they've already told us about Hao.

Hmmm... "banana"... I'll get back to you on how that can work... And the joke right after that that I still don't get will be reworded... maybe it'll make sense now...

Hmm... banana will have to be left in somehow, since Anna calls him "banana brain" later and it has visuals...

The cigarette looks a LOT like pocky in this episode.

Ummm... giant bazooka... no way... unless they deem it too unrealistic looking...

Looks like I'm gonna have to watch this episode again. Currently all I can say is Anna seems to think Ren wants a girlfriend, Chuck's head doesn't get edited and there was this one quote where Hao er... I mean Zeke mentioned he was watching Yoh and the others yet he had his eyes closed.

My translation has her saying that it is "AS valuable as a nation treasure" . As long as she mentions it's valuable, it will be somewhat accurate.

Didn't look edited when the episode was shown in the UK. Its far too unrealistic to be a probelm, unlike something that looks like a gun and fires bullets aswell.


Hopefully that came out in spoiler colours (maybe the correct colour should be mentioned in the rules?)

Its not really a spoiler but maybe some people are waiting to see what they did to the bazooka so I thought id play it safe.

There's another one that blends in more with the dark boxes, but I don't know it. XD Lovely should know what it is.

Lovely, there was something I didn't quite understand in spanish...

**In the scene where Anna is telling Yoh to fight the Hanagumi, they start laughing and saying things like "Do you think you're Hao now?!" or something like that...the spanish version said the same thing but it confused me...I didn't understand it...o_0 Even though it was the same, I get lost most of the time. ^^; So....can you explain me that scene? What were they saying...why were they laughing etc. ^__^;;**

over here at my end, they're playing the voice over for last weeks episode trailer on this week's trailer!
so it looks and sounds kinda weird. ^^
did anyone else have this problem?

anyways, here are my thoughts on this ep:

1. "no tension trey...no tension trey" that was pretty funny

2. the eyes on the manta icon on his comp moved! hehe i felt like pointing that out.

3. awwww @ jun and pilong moment. that was cute!

4. the banana joke everyone was talking about got changed to "no appeal"

5. oh man. best chocolove part thus far was when he said he could'nt hold and when you gotta go you gotta go. then ren smacked him around and manta said that he found something and ren said "okay i done.."

6. LOL anna tourmenting chocolove to the point where he wants his mommy.

7. LMAO! i thought it was hillarious that faust carried eliza across the bridge. with all those little hearts and everything. ^__^
