Sorry about me disappering, I got sick and I have midterms, but I should be posting soon. I just had to comment on this episode. Halun (how ever you spelled his name) made me so angry. Even from my bed, I was cursing him in every language I knew. Although the slap was taken out, it was just as bad to see Ahnis kneel before that blaggard and beg him to forgive her for being "immodest". If I were a Shaman during the fight, I would have... Besides that, I loved the episode. Ryu may be a flake but he's a cute flake. The Tao chicken comment had me giggling too, Ren would have given Yoh a taste of Rapid Tempo for that comment. Hoping to return to good health soon, Foxglove

Finally, my first post in the main forum! hmm not sure this counts as SPOILER but feh...*** Yeah I saw that eppie a couple nights ago and was all confused about the "heavy metal" concept cuz the guy acted more like some kinda Jehovah's witness, BUT what I did find amusing was how various people kept pounding on the 4th wall by makeing referances to real musicians and celebs. ;D

To Resurie - Rio does have two spirits.
Did someone use the name "Tamao" when they were all commenting about her on the TV...or did my brain insert that? I liked the dub change to this...it fits well.
What does Manta say in the original at the end? I doubt it was, "she's getting away Rio."
All in all I liked the episode...but there were so many awkward moments I guess I'll have to wait for Lovely's site comparison in the future to fill in all the change information.

Lol, this was a good eppie... What was Faust saying about a pelvic thrust? I rewound it several times but I just couldn't make it out. His spazzing confused me though... I completely missed the General Tao Chicken thing.... BozTed! XD XD What was Chocolove's original joke? The one that didn't amke sense and had to be explained? Lol, Ryu threw Manta... XD Yay, Chinese reference! What was that game they played to determine what food they ate?? Lol Silva... "It's dangerous down there!!" XD No Hao! At all! *cries*

i think you "write" your name on the top and the randomize the bottem.. so the order is different from the top. then the bottem name is covered.
the game goal is to draw and follow the path until you hit a name on the bottem and reveal to see what it is.
the names on top dont matter.. just where YOU start.
thats what i thought it was... it reminded me of a gambling game where balls are droped down vertically with studs horrizontally plugged in it. the slot on the bottem with the most balls is the winner.
forgot what its called.. saw it in a Chinese movie ha ha ha.
btw. did you catch
"... Eat your Eggrolls! ..." ?
poor trey... ;D

The way it was explained in the anime (at least in the subs I have), is that Yamato no Orochi was more of a folklore (i.e. it wasn't real) that explained the ferocity of the river. When Ryu overcame the river, and learned his new attack, it took on the 'spirit' (i.e. the embodiment) of the Yamato no Orochi, but as Yamato no Orochi isn't a real 'spirit' (i.e. the kind you use as your partner), no, he doesn't have two spirits.
Since Yamato no Orochi is is strongest attack (with the regular oversouls), it makes sense that his giant oversoul would take on the appearance of it.

Uh... yeah, what Dessa said. On a sidenote, when Haloon said "so you have another spirit" I think he meant it more as , "so your spirit has another form." That's how I saw it anyways. You know, something odd about this episode? It's one of the few(only) anime episodes in the series that throws in manga references kind of randomly. I'm speaking of the Kokkuri angel thing and the morhpine thing. Very cute stuff that I'm sad was sort of removed from the dub, though for the morphine thing I have a theory. Editor (guy in charge of keeping stuff FCC freindly): What the crap 0_o ?? Writer: Um.... I don't think we can leave this in (refering to the IV.) We better add some lines calling it food or edit it out all together. Advitisor: Hey! We should leave it in, call it food, and then market it as a product ! Editor: 0_0 ... Writer: ..... Ad guy: What? Writer: Edit it out all together it is! Um... my thoughts on the episode is that it was pretty accurate. Notes! Of stuff that's already been mentioned! *weep* *A "Next on Shaman King" screen was added to the begining. I thought this was kind of funny. Guys, showing something in the begining of the episode that happens later in the episode is a stylistic choice, not a preview really ^^;.... *The IV for Faust is gone. Also funny because his sleave is still rolled up and he is still tripping XD . Intentionally unexplained manga refference 1 ! * That you have to pay $5 for a smile was removed. That's a shame, I thought that was cute ^.^ . *Yoh's "aura" is removed. My guess is that there was just too much Kanji in it to just erase and write over. *Ryu thought that Anis's deer was an "American Deer" at first ^^; *Arabia ---> Parthia *I liked Anis' voice *slap itself cut, her on the ground with a red cheek kept. *Kokkuri angel dialog changed v_v . Intentionally unexplained manga referernce 2 ! It even had Tamao's image theme music XD . The cute part of this scene was just the cast commenting and being slightly surprised about anime being shown in America. heh. The dub missed a wonderful opertunity to be sarcastic. They could of given TV Tamao a mans voice or something XD. *Bah, lots of other stuff that you guys already mentioned LC: Manta said "He's hopeless!" at the end. I think the dub added extended this timing of this scene a bit 0_0 ... So in other words, Manta was more annoyed than supportive. Seriously, originally, it was VERY abrupt and short end.
