Well, I was watching my uncut Mankin, and I noticed something. Is it just me or during the fight scene between Yoh and Ren the original fight music plays in the dub?? Because I remember hearing that tune before.....anyway, any and all answers are thanked.

It ALWAYS different music in the dub. I would of DEFFINETELY noticed if it was the same (I have an oddly good memory when it comes to music 0_o .)
Besides, most of the dub music is too short and choppy to even come close to the original's longer pieces.

But they didn't cut anything from the dub scene aside from dialog........... and I SWEAR I've heard that song before..

Apart from pokemon, 4Kids don't even BUY the original BGM.
So, it being there is totally impossible.
This idea occurred at one point in Sonic X, until I asked 4Kids. They never even get the raw BGM.

I SHOULD mention however that 4kids tend to re-use certain sets of their original music within their own shows. For example, I've heard the same music play in both Sonic X AND Shaman King.

In addition to hearing Shaman King and Sonic X music in One Piece, I've also heard tracks from Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh as well.

But I thought that they kept the original Japanese music in Pokémon. A lot of the battle music is from the Game Boy games. Maybe they change certain parts of the music? |

I think Pokemon has around 90% original BGM, if not all.
And yeah, I almost retched when I heard 4Kids 'Chaos Emerald' them from Sonic X in Shaman King (the first Yamata no Orochi ep, forget the name).
Soon, 4Kids will just share the same BGM between all their shows. ^^;

Pokemon keeps a lot of the original music, but then 4kids adds music to parts that were originally silent. That sort of thing.
