All I ever see on this board are people dissing the crap out of 4Kids. After finally realizing it, all of you are wrong!
People think that they ruin all the anime that the dub, but I have been watching some of their dubs the past couple of days and I realized that this is a great company.
Really, I'm serious about this. You have hard working office people that have to duke it out with some of the biggest Dub companies around, and they still manage to get fantastic anime while leaving companies crap like Dragonball, Gundam, Yu Yu Hakusho, and many others.
I think people don't appreciate what these people do. You have people who have to write new BGM from scratch since it's so hard to get the original score. And from the BGM I hear in the dub One Piece, especially the intro is great.
Listen to the voice actors as well. They work their asses off to perfect their acting. They have to show such strong emotion and the right tone. They even have to do accents, and the accents they do in dubs like Shaman King and One Piece not only sound authentic, but fit the character perfectly!
F*ck all those who hate this company. They also work hard to come up with new names for characters. If you look at todays society, children's attitudes are becoming worse. Their brains are dumbing down as well.
Oh think about it, wouldn't be so hard for a child who's just mastering his own language. Wouldn't you think it's hard to pronounce the name "Horohoro?"
Oh they might even mistake it for the word "whore." I don't think that's something you'd want on your shoulders.
Loosen up now, give 4Kids some decent respect. They work hard, and they work a lot harder than you. Thank you and good night.
