Shaman King Dub

I have only ben an anime fan for about 3 years.However this is my two cents on the shaman king dub:


The shaman king dub was the first time I had even heard of Shaman King.And it is what first realy got me into anime and manga.
About 80% of Shaman King fans prefer the original anime/manga and even loath and hate the dub anime.However I love the Dub.

Since the dub was the first time I saw shaman king,I absolutely loved it!!Me and my brother both agreed that it was the greatest show on earth after one epasode.Then I saw an issue of Shonen Jump in Food Lion.I was amazed that Shaman King in it beacuse at the time I had no Idea what manga was.
So every saturday,for how ever long Shaman King was on,I watched it.Later on I found out there were only 5 epasodes of Shaman King left.I almost started crying.Shaman King was,and still is,my greatest obscession.Last epasode ended with and orical bell ringing.So I am convinced Shaman King will return with a new season.If not I am perfecly happy liveing in denial.
Here are some things I think are better in the dub:
1.It's way funnyer
2.I love Len/Ren's dub voice*Even if it dosent fit his character!^_^*
3.It has a way better opening theam song!!*Please Email me at [e-mail] if you know where I can get the MP3 for shaman king's dub opening theam song*
Things Ilike better about the original anime:
1.lol...never seen the original anime!!!^_^

So any way....I like the dub better cause it's what I saw first.I have a shaman king site called:souptown.com/LonelyShamanIt all in dub and I think mt idea for my site is good for killing an hour or so searching for Shaman King pics...My site is still in progress but feel free to check whats there.My site will be done in a few weeks.

How can you really say you like the dub better, or even just the dub theme song better, when you've never seen the original?

As much as the (original) anime messed up the story its enjoyable. The original anime is on youtube. watch it. better yet, read the manga.

Alright, but I was mainly talking about the show itself. How can you really say you prefer the dub when you've never even seen the original?

Oh my god, a real live dub fan! I didn't know there were any left! ::hugs the newbie:: Don't worry. We won't kill you for liking the English version. After all, it does have its moments (ERIC STUART AS MARCO OMGOMG TEH SEXY YAAAAAAAY)... but I join in the Greek Chorus of "Go watch the subtitled original!" due to the fact that Yoh's Japanese voice is ADORABLE. (And Lyserg sounds... like a guy. It's amazing.)

I LOVE THE DUB!!!Why do somany people hate dub fans?If you like the dub great!If you like the original fine!But let dub fans be dub fans and quit haten em!lol

Personally, I don't exactly mind the dub too much. It could be worse (I mean, look at Tokyo Mew Mew Power and One Piece). However, I personally think the original has better voices, music (although thankfully 4Cretins decided not to give Shaman King rap... *shudder* the melodiless 'music' that's taking over the world... I'm glad they avoided it for mankin), and some better scenes as well. Phrasing too - I mean, the word "destroyed" could mean mentally or physically.

However, at this point I can't say that I completely love the original more than the dub, as I haven't seen episode 51 in the original version yet. *I want to see Manta and Mosuke's original conversation so much... I hope Manta-sama is more emotional in the original - he's kinda blah-ish in the dub.*

Well, no one ever said they hated the dub... and besides, is there reason to hate the Mankin dub? Of course, if 4Kids butchered the characters, sliced and diced the plot, then they'd have a reason to hate it, but it's fine, I think. I don't I've heard of anyone hating the Mankin dub...

Besides, the dub is what introuduced that anime to the country you live in. If 4Kids never dubbed Shaman King, you probably wouldn't know about it and fans would never go to find the Japanese version. All in all, it's the dub that's introduced the anime to the west and ain't that reason enough not to hate it? I mean, undubbed animes like Princess Tutu and Nanaka 6/17 aren't known very well because it was never dubbed. So, I guess people should thank the dubbers for bringing it over (albeit, sometimes altered beyond recongizion).

well i only found out about shaman king watching the dub and i thought it was the best thing EVA!!! i couldnt stop watching it, over and over again (i taped it all, 4 tapesfull) and then i watched it on youtube and know i am a total loony!
i realy want tto see the last 4 episodes in jap but it's not on there *crys*
