The original doesn't follow the manga exactly. There are many characters who never appear in the manga and a lot of nice scenes that do not appear in the anime. Do watch the original on youtube.com. animefanamber: I will have the rest of the episodes up in less than a week. The torrent is almost finnished. |

Yeah, the show usually doesn't follow the manga (I mean, it DOES, but sometimes they add different stuff in it, like the Lily 5.) I personally prefer the Japanese original to the Dub. I like Yoh's voices in both of the two though, everything else is either YEAH, or BLAH.

I like the manga better.. at least the ending ^__^
I did not like the dub at all. I just completely stopped watching it alltogether.
Ren's voice is the worst!! Jun too! Yoh voice is fine, but what annoys me is that the SAME actor did the voice of BOTH Yoh and Hao... true they are twins... but really! (Ahh.. maybe its just me who is annoyed by this....)

They do have the same VA, dont they? I didn't realize that til now. I do like sean schemmels "rio." Thats about it. It's like watching pokemon again, terrifying. How did they come up with those names?!

yeah they both have the same voice actors -__- i think the va is Sebastian Arcelus. But the again the same person that did the voice for amidiamaru did the voice for Rio.. and the same person who does Silva does Lee Pai long.. i think
I have NO idea how they came up with Trey Racer! -___- that is probably the most absurd name change EVER
I mean really! How did they get Trey Racer from Horo Horo (or Horokeu Usui)
And how did they get Zeke from Hao? >__<
And why did they change Patch village to Dobi village? I mean really! Patch is already a english word!!!

What are the diffrences in the dub plot and the original exactly? Cause i've never seen the original. Dose the original actually fallow the manga? Funny you're asking this on this particular message board. The dub wasn't as bad when you compare it to the other 4 Kids dubs (do I even need to list them?) and there are lines that just really make you laugh out loud. ;D The original's got Paku Romi (voice of Ed from FMA) so you can't go wrong with that right? The manga seems like a completly different story compared to the anime at certain points, dubed or not, so it's interesting to read as well. Just my 2 cents. ;D |

Personally, I kind of liked that Yoh and Hao in the dub had the same VA. In my opinion, in the original, even though two different VA's were used for the twins, they sounded VERY similar anyways. *shrugs*
