Highlight for spoiler. Alright, one of my friends told me that on the very last episode of Shaman King, Hao beats Yoh and swallows his soul.  ; Is this true? And if it is, what happens after? |

Yup. That is what happens. But more comes after that; So people (being Ren and Ryu and Lyserg and co) freak out, and attack Hao, which proves to be useless, and Anna tries to kick his ass, which sort of doesn't work either. Meanwhile, Yoh's spirit is kind of floating around inside Hao and after a bit he sort of "wakes up" and is returned to his body, where he then goes and fights Hao, gets beaten (yet again) to a pulp but refuses to give up. Hao gets pissy that Yoh won't give up on fighting him, lots of bird and tree symbolism that I don't understand, Yoh gets a supremely powerful oversoul and beats Hao. Happy ending ensues.
I haven't seen it with subtitles, so my explanation is based off what what I understood and what I saw. ^^;; I also haven't followed the anime as closely as I have the manga, so yeah. Breif, vague summary of the ending for you.

Ah. Thanks. ^_^ At least now I have a little more reassurance that it won't end like... like how I THOUGHT it was gonna end. @_@

Although now that you know the ending, I highly recommend you to watch that last esp because after Yoh finished his battle with Hao, the esp shows what Mankin characters are going to do after the Shaman Fight(like how are they going to archieve their dreams and stuff).
At the end no one was going for the Shaman King label, which surprised me. It is such a twist! @_@ The anime is named Shaman King, but in the end, no one became Shaman King.

eh... the person above me, you've got it wrong.
they are just 'at a break', did you not see Yoh's oracle bell ringing at the end? The Shaman King fight has started again.
Personally, I hate the anime version ending.
Read the comic. IT IS A LOT BETTER.

umm......i have no way to get to the comic...could you tell me what the ending is there?  please? i also didnt like the ending..i actually diidnt understand it....i mean...everyone gives him power.. hao and the sof blow up and the patch tribe disappears? right.... then after it seems mantas the only one who wonders what happened to hao.. as do i...i dont think he dies...thats an awfully strange way to die...i mean...he blows up.. O__O i for one wanted hao-sama to win...i was actually sorta giggling when hao consumed yohs soul.... yea i know.. im weird... |

Personally, I hate the anime version ending. Read the comic. IT IS A LOT BETTER. Actually, the manga ended recently, and the ending was sincerely horrible. I'm guessing Hiroyuki Takei was rushing to end it or something. It's almost as bad as having Manta suddenly wake up and say, "Oh, it was all just a fewyearslong dream." |

what happened?! i must know! and he was rushed into it....shonen jump made him end it...its in a thread somewhere....i dont remember...i think its in 'general' o_0
no one has told me how the shaman fight in the manga ended! >_<!
