Oh, Yohko, if you're still wondering, HoroHoro will appear in Shonen Jump's July issue (i.e. June). (shonenjump.com - "How to Advertise" ooh and btw, Lyserg is on the opening page of the site :D except theyre covering up a lot of him w/ their logo :/ ).... Bakura appears in the August issue whoooyeah!
Anyway, I started this thread to voice my worries about the slowness of the Shonen Jump GNs coming out. I mean, the THIRD Shaman King manga isnt even OUT yet. How LONG is this going to TAKE? Shaman King has 28 manga volumes in Japan, if I'm correct (Yu-gi-oh has 36, btw). Is it ever going to speed up? Rurouni Kenshin, for example, has been having a pretty fast release-compared to mangas in Shonen Jump anyhew. Sigh.

While having Shaman King in the U.S Shounen Jump is great for exposure. (not only to mankin in general, but also the fact that it's not "4kidified") -- it's torture for people who only collect the graphic novels v_v . *sigh*

Volume Three is coming out during May but they already finished the Tokagero series and they also showed the stars rahu and ketu coming to signalfy the tournament in the Shonen Jump Magazines. so why is it going slow

so why is it going slow In Japan, The Shonen Jump comes out once a week, and has one chapter of about 20 diffrent titles. So Shaman King gets 4 chapters a month. In the US it gets between 1-4 chapters a month. Although they COULD release it a GN a month like some other titles, they don't want to get ahead of the monthly chapters of Shaman King. So in short, they're taking a title that was meant to be released once every week, (a GN about every 3 months) and are cramming it in a Monthly Jump, where it sometimes only gets one chapter, causing the GNs to come out once every 6 months or more. There are several things they COULD be doing about it: 1. Release the Shonen Jump bi-monthly 2. Decrease the Paper quality (In Japan, the quality is about equal to newspaper.), so they could release them cheaper, so they could do #1. 3. Balence it out more, and put at least 2 chapters of each a month, and 4 for the cover Manga, and another one. But that'll never happen, unless more people subscribe.

There are 28 graphic novels? Then how come Shounen Jump's website said there are only 19? Where did you get you're info from, cause I'm curious to know which is right, not that I'm complaining if there ARE more.

Not sure if thats a parody volume or what, but it says 28 ^^;;; As far as I know, there are really 28 volumes out so far. =^^= I just won an auction for volumes 1 - 28, which I'm hoping will arrive soon. I won't be able to read the Japanese text, but I can at least look at the pictures. =^_~=
