Anna and Yoh's Past

Meh, I was just wondering how many people here know about their past and why Anna likes/loves Yoh. Of course if you've read the manga you'll already know but still.

Half the people I see on Shaman King message boards have no idea what I'm talking about. Pity since in the manga there comes out one of the best characters!

And he's kind of related to the reason why Yoh thought of Manta as his friend in the first place. A cookie if you can guess why. If you've read the manga, don't answer. ;D

I am vaugely aware of Anna and Yoh's backstory, and I know a bit about Matamune, but I've held myself from learning to much because I don't like to be spoiled ^^; . Of course, at the release rate that Viz is going it's going to be a while until the story comes up @_@ ...

I can't wait to find out more about Yoh and Anna's past. I haven't read any manga or seen the original series so I just take the dubs as they come out. I know I have to be wary while looking through some of the threads to avoid spoiling the future, but I just love SK!!

AND NOW TO SPOIL YOU! I know I shouldn't bump, but this is practically the whole point of the thing... XD And yes, they don't appear on the anime. I don't know if they talk about Yoh and Anna's past at all.

Volume 19, Chapter 162, Prologue.



The manga begins with Anna looking at Yoh with his Spirit of Sword Oversoul, but it really isn't an Oversoul though...

Osorezan ru Boaru


It's 1995 in Izumo as a young 10 year old Yoh takes off his shoes and enters his house. Yohmei iss reading the newpaper with his shikigami doing household chores, at least the ones they can manage. Yohmei is slightly surprised that Yoh had come early from school and laughs, asking if he was playing hooky again. Yoh replies that today was the start of winter vacation and his grandfather says he has something to tell Yoh. The boy asks and says that if it's about his report card, he's better off not looking at it as a shikigami brings a Japanese cracker to him since he said he was hungry.

Yohmei replies that he had conversed with Kino.

(Aw screw this, I'll go with how the manga goes. But I'll change after a while.)

[Yohmei is casually looking at his newspaper as a shikigami flips the page.]

Yohmei: Humph, that is okay.

Yohmei: Besides that, I have recieved contact from Kino.



[Yoh looks at his grandfather while a shikigami brings a Japanses cracker to his mouth, expecting him to bite it.]

Yoh: You mean my grandmother in Aomori?





Yohmei: Yes.





Yohmei: Yoh,

Yohmei: The girl who is to be your fiance has been decided.



[The shikigami drops the cracker because Yoh didn't bite it. Yoh, on the other hand, has contracted eyes in shock but his face is straight.]

Yohmei {off}: It's a good thing it's vacation. You shall meet her tommorow.











Yoh {off}: WHAAAAAAAT?!



As of now, I need to finish an essay, shall hurry back. ^^;

It's too bad that could not have been included in the anime. It could have extended the series a few episodes and the editros at 4kids couldn't have made up stories about their past.

I've read that part somewhere else before but it was different. Does anybody know where i can read the full chapters of the Osorezan Revoir part and there's also a chapter where Yoh kisses Anna in the Manga, i would be interested in reading that too. Its really hard to find Shaman King Manga Volumes on the net.

ive never actually read volumes 19 or 20, but i do have the manga drama CDs, and even though i dont understand half of the stuff theyre saying, i got the idea of what was going on.

hey matamune, is there a scene where yoh is spying on women? because in the cd, you hear yoh talking, then a women goes like "mmmm" and then he talks some more, but his tone is more like...kinky...o_0...and then anna comes along and says "hentai".

Dark Master, I post 'em as I see 'em. ^^ I don't remember Yoh kissing manga anywhere in my books. Maybe that's number 30?

And Resurie, xD The thing was that there were these things where it shows a woman. It was a wooden woman yet it showed cleavage. He picked it up and siad that Ponchi and Konchi would like it being they're perverts and all. Then Anna calls him a pervert...

Least that's how memory serves... Sorry, I'm being stressed due to PSAT and assessments and if I'm not accurate, I apologize. You could try searching the internet for pages though I haven't found any. Maybe you can ask around the board for people who have translated issues?

oh there is a scene where they kiss. cant rem which bk.. but its jus implied, and not explicitly shown. there's even a scene where it seems like they have sex.. or maybe its jus my twisted mind. rite be4 yoh leaves for the SF.

bk 19 and 20 are my favs too . yoh is so sweet and nice. i wish there would be more scenes of anna fighting.. the author nv shows her fights, only the result.
