Anywho, I realized the other day: From the first episode forward, the US OP has a major spoiler in it (albeit one that only lasts a split second): Lyserg.

I wasn't going to say anything, due to spoilers (especially since Lyserg being IN the opening 26 episodes before he shows up is spoilers), but... yes, they show him in the X-Laws clip.

You've confused me now. You said the US opening. Lyserg is shown in the Jap opening for the first 26 eppies, but nothing of him is shown in the US opening, unless you count the brief shot of Yoh turning towards the X-Laws.

I don't remember the first opening much, but I know that the Lyserg spoilers weren't in it (I don't think the X-Laws were in the first OP at all).
Yes, that is the shot with Lyserg I'm refering to. Watched it on slow motion to catch it.

I believe that Lyserg was in fact in Oversoul. They actually show his face and Morphine on his shoulder.

In Oversoul there's simply a quick shot of him smiling. In Northern Lights, there's the X-Laws scene and a scene wheres he's with Ren. That's it.  So in other words, no, there are no Lyserg spoilers in Oversoul. |

That's what I thought. I remember now the one shot of him, but it's not the spoiler pic like in the US OP.

But you have to know what you are even looking at to see Lyserg in the US op.
I had to slow motion feeze frame to see him and even then I was just guessing his location. I'm not sure you can even see his green hair which is a dead giveaway.
Northern Lights did come out before Lyserg left, but you knew he was gonna leave before you found out. Ever since they made their first detour, you knew Lyserg was destined to leave the group.

I love them both, but Oversoul is my favorite. ^^ Now they're tied. I just like how Oversoul plays out better. Northern Lights is awesome, of course, but I don't like the opening animation as much. I don't really have issues with the dub opener either (I didn't vote for it, mind), but it can never match Megumi Hayashibara's songs. I hate to admit it, but the dub song is growing on me... *sweatdrop*

From my opinion i don't really like the american song. oversoul and northern lights are both good  but i just like oversoul a little better... the american one isn't so great... I think songs that the females basically sing sounds a bit better. I don't really like the deep voices of males... not being biased or anything, just saying from my opinion  |

The American version was made to be more "cartoony" if you know what I mean, Northern lights and Oversoul are true anime openings with emotion and all, lol. But I agree with the female singer thing. In Anime's anyway, I love hearing female singers. ^_^ (although some of my favorite normal bands have guy singers)

If I had to choose then it would be norther lights, I still like over soul I just like the second theme better.
