It's Ren.
But here's the thing, the letters "L" and "R" are interchangable in Japanese, so "Len" is the romanization of his name.
Basically "Ren" and "Len" are the same thing. There's no difference. I don't know why the DVDs call him "Len", but it's just a romanization. So there's no difference. It's correct to call him either Ren or Len, but his original name that Takei gave him was Ren, which is why all the fan sites refer to him as "Ren".

? When spoken in Jap. doesn't the "R" sound sound like an "L" also or am I just repeating what resurie just said? Sorry, I don't know exactly what Romanization means. I know it has something to do with translating, and I've seen it all over the board, but I just don't know the meaning of the word.

Well, sometimes, they even pronounce it with a "D"... Yeah, sounds odd, doesn't it? *refers to Maito Gai, of "Naruto", and his "Dii!", for Rock Lee*

Thanks for the muffin! ^^
Jr., sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. I'm still trying to figure out how I should pronounce my own name. XD le-su-lie or re-su-rie. I like saying it with the 'R' though. =3
Take the song Oversoul for example. The opening line is "Yomigaere" but Megumi-san pronounces it "Yomigaele". Same with Kirameku Kakera (it's also a line in the song). She pronounces "Kilameku Kakela".
But not all "R"s are pronounced as "L"s. They just do it sometimes. For example, Horo Horo. They pronounce the 'R'. His name would sound Holo Holo if they didn't. XD
I hope I didn't confuse you...o_0 I'm somewhat bad at explaining things like this. XD
Fun Fact: 'resurie' is indeed my real name, it's just romanized into Japanese. XD!

Res- Ah, I see, so your name is "Leslie" then? I don't think the "e" is necessary on the end then ^^;...
Jr.- "Romanisation" : Taking Japanese text and writing it out using the roman alphabet (a,b,c,d,e,f etc...)
Why "R" and "L" is interchangable: The Japanese "r" sound is infact a short "rolling r" . That is, you "roll" the r slightly resulting in a sound that is similar to both the "L" sound and "r" sound.

I understood why the 'r' and 'l' were interchangable. I just didn't know what romanisation meant. Thanks Lovely and you beat me to guess resurie's name. I thought it was Leslie too after I saw her post.

You got it. XD
I know the 'e' isn't necessary, it's really supposed to be spelled 'resurii'. But the first time I romanized it, it came out with the 'e' and I've had it like that for so long (it's my email, my signature on ALL of my drawings...), changing it would be kind of silly...
Plus, I've grown to like this spelling, I don't like how 'resurii' looks. XD And I'de be confusing all my friends. They know my nickname is resurie...they don't call me that...but they know...XD

Whoops! Well, I've been mispronouning your name when I read it then. Can I add you to the list of people who are immune to the conditioning?

Whoops! Well, I've been mispronouning your name when I read it then. Can I add you to the list of people who are immune to the conditioning? How have you been pronouncing it? o_0 And...immune to conditioning? Um...care to explain? I don't really understand what that means. XD

I pronounced it with an "R" sound, even though I've only read it and never said it so I wouldn't really know. o_0 or is "r" the correct way to say it? I can't do the Japanesy thing with my Rs and Ls. My Rs sound like Rs and my Ls sound like Ls.
And conditioning is when "outside sources" give you mental programing. Without telling you of course. It's one of my theorys that having certain names/spellings and using certain letters immunizes you from certain programming. Not all of it, of course.
And then if you add up the letters in your name...But I forgot the trick.
Anyway, having the letter "A/a" in any of your real names makes you extradorinarily vulnerable to programming, while having "L/l" helps you, as does double letters. And the letter "E/e" helps too. For example, I have the middle name Lee. <---Very good name to have, actually.
Part of the programming makes you skeptical of things, soi if you don't believe then you have probably been programmed.

Uh...ok... sure...why not...add me if you like...o_0 *ahem* I don't really mind... And you were pronouncing it right (in my head), I like pronouncing it with the "R", I don't like pronouncing it with the "L". It sounds no different from my real name if you say it fast enough. XD So 'resurie', say it with the 'R' sound! >< This thread has gone so off-topic...XD

Okay, then when I get my handbook back from my friend (Who I'm starting to worry about) I'll type it up and send one to you so you can avoid getting mental interference from Them (you know who I'm talking about >_<). I think my friend has gone over to Them and given them the hnadbook I wrote. I gave it to her last August, and she's avoided me since then. I want it back >_< Never fear, they shall never get into our minds.
