I'm starting to suspect FUNimation is breaking off from 4Kids.

In this case, hallelujah - FUNi's free of taking crap from fans for 4Kids's trainwrecks (a lot of people used to think that Yu-Gi-Oh was FUNimation's work, so yeah...).

The reason I suspect this is because I noticed that no 4Kids-related shows are coming out after April, at least, according to Right Stuf.

Well, I'm only 14 and my parents won't let my buy ANY anime untill I move out, so it really makes no diference because in 8+ years when I move out, all of the volumes should be out. If they aren't, I'll help Pink as well (I'll bring the molatovs ^_^).

If you look a bit deeper into CD universe it says that vol 4 is on "backorder" since March 8 ^^;. In other words, it's not out yet v_v .

Lance, a Funimation rep, reports that both the ShamanKing 3 disks and the rest of Yu Gi Oh is currently on hold, and it "could be a while". When asked if he knew why, he stated that he DID but he wasn't at liberty to discuss it.

They're holding the uncut Yugioh DVDs, too?! Nooooo! Why are they doing this?! Why does the God of anime hate me so much?! I could always get subbed Shaman King through other sources, so I'm not so upset about that, but Yugioh is a different story. I want my uncut Yugioh! 4Kids better have a darn good reason for delaying these DVDs! Like, producing a better uncut dub or something! I wish I could've bought those Yugioh Hong Kong bootleg boxsets for my birthday, but I didn't have enough b-day money for them. ><

Yu-Gi-Oh V3 had proper subs, so I don't think that's the reason (unless they make SK a special case or whatever).

So i guess Vol 4 is being held too... sux... and if thats true, then Vol 5 may be on hold and if things go so bad, they might stop producing it on dvd...

Hmm, since I'm joining so late in this thread, I don't know wether or not this was already stated, but, the "Uncut" DVD's aren't really Uncut. Anyone who has them knows that the second eyecatch was cut. And the next episode preview was cut. And in episode 9, which is on the 3rd uncut disc, there was some BGM that led from that image into the episode. 4kids might as well just re-dub again, to do actually uncut DVD's, put the previews back in, and name the charachters by their rightful names. Because, another thing they did to screw themselves over in the future, was call Manta, "Morty Manta" when his real name is Manta Oyamada, which is later featured on one of his family's helecopter, and private jet.

You just pointed something out I didn't think of before! Maybe they're delaying volume three because of the BGM of the commercial eyecatch in episode nine? But it shouldn't be too hard of a problem to fix. All they really need to is just include them both on there. Or maybe the reason why the second eye catch isn't there is because of the master copies they recieved? So, could they be delaying volume three to get master copies which include both eyecatches? That still doesn't explain why they're delaying the uncut Yugioh DVDs, though...

Well, my understanding is that they already have the full copies, and if they reveal that there is another eyecatch at the halfway marker, then people will know that the "Uncut" DVD's aren't uncut. And about the YGO thing, they're probably delaying it because they want to release the DVD's togother.
