I hope I don't repeat what someone else has said (short attention span, sorry *bricked*) but I have never pictured Ren with any Mankin character. I've seen the episodes and don't see a connection. However, I have always pictured Ren with a woman who is shorter than he, with long brown hair, big brown eyes by the name of Yukihiro. Don't ask.

A few people have said it, <including me> but don't worry, no brick-ing. ^-^ Yukihiro... an original character? Sounds cute. ^-^ Kuroi is short with fairly long brown hair and brown eyes... I've probably said this before, but I think Ren also has an arranged marriage. It would make sense, considering how heavily his family honors "tradition."
Plus, from what I've heard of Chinese traditional arranged marriages, Ren might not even have met the girl. Which could contribute to his constantly annoyed attitude.

Yes, I've heard that before too. I've also read some fanfics about this mysterious woman he's never met. That's probably why he doesn't seem interested in anyone. He doesn't view love as an important emotion or marriage as an emotional event because he's being forced into one. It's really hard to develop feelings for someone you've never met before.

You guys bear a good point...
I remember Innle suggesting something about an arranged marriage on another board, to some girl that wasn't introduced because a lack of... how did she put it? "OM- "special powers?"" Well, as much as Ren having an arranged marriage makes sense, I would think that she would be a shaman, because of the Tao family's obsession with family power and continuing their line...

honest to god, i never saw that coming.
although jeanne did bring him back to life with that kiss from shamash...
but still...
that coupling caught me off guard.
but it's starting to grow on me.
