How would I get the Japanese Shaman King DVDs with English subtitles? Do they sell them in the US? Are they playable?
And most importantly:
Are they reasonably priced?
I would rather get Japanese DVDs than the dub ones with dub names and voice actors, hence the reason for this thread.

Um, I know one way is Ebay, they're selling a ton of the original boxed sets on there.

Hey, how does one tell whether or not something is bootlegged?

The only DVDs that have the Japanese audio track and subtitles are the Bootlegs and 4kids' DVDs.
The originals from Japan don't have english subtitles, and they're only playable on...*checks* Code 2 DVD compatible equipment. (o_O? I don't know any techno stuff, don't ask me. XD;)
And they can only be bought directly from Japan I believe. And eBay usually only has the bootlegs.
Plus, the dub DVDs looks like a professional did them compared to the Bootlegs. XP
Since Lovely doesn't like bootleg talk, I'm going to lock this thread, since it's against the rules to request them. If she feels this thread can be unlocked, she can do so.
Oh, and Lovely, if you want to erase any "info" *coughyeahinfocough* from my post, I don't mind. XD;
LOVELY EDIT: It's called "Region 2" dvd's and players. The U.S uses "region 1" as the standard. However, there ARE some "region free" players out there as well. But yeah, the original dvd's don't have english subs.
