Are teh Manga and Anime of Shaman King VERY different? or just alittle or not at all.

Well, I would say they are quite different, especially when the manga gets to going to Patch Village. They have different characters sometimes, the manga has more character developement, and I got to go to school now. I'll edit the rest of my post.

Well I havn't read all the Manga yet but from what I've heard it's fairly similar up to when they get to America then it sort of goes off on it's own. Although I don't know for sure but someone else should be able to help you out.

And even before that point the manga and anime have some difference. For example, book 1 of the manga has a few "ghost stories" that never show up in the anime (well, more like the anime skipped them to get to some of the characters sooner.)
The manga is also a good deal more violent sometimes. (Mostly the first Faust chapters.)

There's also the fact that Faust
Edit(Manga Spoilers!)*cuts of his own legs for Eliza, after Yoh cuts off Eliza's legs in their battle. He then oversouls Frankenstiney into legs for himself. Yikes!
That wasn't in the anime....

Well, I just got my manga on Saturday, o_O so I can answer! ><
Well, up to maybe...volume 10 0_o? it's pretty much the same, but afterwards it gets really different. x_X Like...there's A LOT of things that weren't even mentioned in the anime.
And like Lovely mentioned, it's a lot more violent, and I mean, DAMN! >< There's blood practically on every page! *marvel marvel* XD
And there's also a lot of characters that weren't in the anime. And Hao isn't so much of a bad guy. XP (anime Hao sucks! XDD)
Oh, and Lyserg isn't so angsty either! =D I haven't seen him get all "argh Hao" more than twice. XD
In conclusion! o_O
Manga > Anime XD

I only have 5 vol.'s and I agree with resurie based on just the five I have!!
I love the detail put into the manga better than the anime!

Myes, manga is finished/not really. Hiroyuki was getting rather stressed with the series (As he shows on his little Author Notes at the beginning of volume 31) and it was losing its popularity. Goes up to 32.
Ah, and one thing that the manga doesn't show is that Lilirara is killed by Hao. And gruesomely too. The SoF's fingers pierce her and then after Lili manages to say something, the SoF burns her.
And differences would proceed to where the Lily 5 does not exist in the manga, Yoh finds out that Hao is his brother differentely, and impact the group more, Redseb and Seyram, the Golem, most of the group dying and coming back...etc etc etc.
In fact, you wouldn't notice that SK anime and manga were the same besides that they had the same characters oO

I know I'm asking this for the ......time but I didn't get it yet so.....: What's the difference between anime and manga? And which one is shown on TV?

Umm...*ahem* ok...to explain..^_^
"Manga" is the series in comic form, and is also the original, usually manga is first, and is then made into an anime, but sometimes it can be the other way around. Manga are usually known as "graphic novels", because they tell a story, and are um...drawn. o_O Shaman King's manga artist's name is Hiroyuki Takei, A.K.A the (crazed ><) man that started and created Shaman King.
Now, anime is what you see on TV. It's the animated version of the series, and usually comes from the manga. But sometimes an anime can be first, then someone makes a manga...
And like Mata said, usually anime and manga can be extremely different.

In short, manga is a comic book. Anime is usually based off the manga.
Like in Shaman King. Except the anime caught up to the manga and the story had to change since there was no more manga to go off of!

Another difference is that in the anime, Yoh meets HoroHoro before they fight. In the manga, they don't meet until their fight.
