I didn't like Farenheit 9/11 not because of his position. I actually don't like bushg that much either but it's the way he presented his material.
He's a propagandist. A documentary should be objective. Kerry wasn't a boy scout either, but you didn't see Moore make a "documentary about him. Also those clips need to be taken into context.
Suprise suprise they were crafted and put together to make them look worse than they actually were.
That clip of bush saying something about terrorism and hitting a golf ball, was recorded before 9/11. at that time noone would have given it a second thought, but the way Moore presented it, you thought that Bush was tottally ignoring the threat.

So many things to touch base on...
Horo Horo makes a good point...even though Michael Moore is presenting you something real...it's slanted to his point of view...it's a half-truth.
Ashil - Did you look into the Libertarian Candidate? He had a really good statement on marriage that basically came out to "no one else should be able to decide whether you and your significant other should be able to get married or not...that's a decision between those two people alone."
I personally believe God should be involved too, seeing as how marriage is a religious tradition. And speaking of, if the politicians are so hell bent on seperating religion and state in every other facet of life, then they shouldn't have a certificate you need to get for marriage...they shouldn't even touch marriage...it should be between you, your significant other, your families and friends, and perhaps your church...
My thoughts on voting - I'm not registered to vote. Maybe I'll never be. Everyone, and I mean everyone I talked to around here voted for one guy because they wanted the other guy not to get the presidency...they only voted to stop the other guy. I feel voting is pledging yourself to someone and, SKU gang...none of those guys deserved my vote...every one was evil in their own special way. The Constitutional Candidate came close...but he had the same marriage issues that Bush did and he was also into getting rid of immigrants from the US...unless you're pure blood Indian...you shouldn't be talking about removing immigrants...
About angry Republicans - Voting was a big deal at work...God bless the office for being a diverse christian company, but unfortunately most of them are conservatives stuck in traditions...our poor physical layer guy was trying to explain parts of Michael Moore's documentary to them and they would just start screaming at him that Moore's a fat slob idiot who only made the documentary to make money off of a national tragedy...it's one thing to take Michael Moore's view at face-value, it's another to form a biased opinion about the man without ever seeing any of his work.
About the system - Unfortunately, we need to kill off all the Republicans and Democrats to get this system away from only being able to vote for two people, and always being forced to vote for the lesser of all evils. The electoral college needs to go away as well...
About 9/11, Iraq, and Bush Jr. - Iraq didn't cause 9/11...I believe Bush's only point for going in there was because Saddam threatened to kill his father...maybe the oil had something to do with it too...regardless, "the road to hell is paved in good intentions." I believe Bush has good intentions...but I believe he's also a figure-head. He doesn't know what's going on...his staff spoon feeds him information, tells him what to say and prompts him what to do. He's only a spokesman...really a puppet President.
If someone proves that 9/11 was a conspiracy by the Republicans...I'd believe it. Especially after their ad campaigns towards the end where they used fear of terrorism to get the vote.
And finally on Iraq, the US freed a bunch of evil people from an evil dictator. The people are still evil!
On killing - I follow the 10 commandments pretty well, and above all I don't believe in killing...Kerry believes in abortion...Bush supports the war...they're both killers in their own special way.
About abortion - what's wrong with adoption? Why doesn't anyone ever talk about adoption anymore?
About abstinence - I believe in chastity. It means I'm a virgin until I get married and that I'll only have sex with my soulmate...no one else. So as I understand it now, health books in the bible belt states are going to remove information about contraceptives and preach that abstinence is the only safe sex...yeah well, after I get married I don't want kids, and lucky for me I know how to keep it that way from learning about contraceptives!

Wow! That's some powerful stuff LC!!
The only thing I don't agree with is the abortion thing.
I don't like it, but I din't like reading the paper almost everyday and read about a baby shaken to death, beaten, shot, or left in a dumpster.
Some of these parents are adoptive parents.
I don't really like getting into this issue to deep because I have a little boy of my own who was in such a situation. Massive neglect from his mother and all that so I'm just going to stop right here.
LC in 2008!!!

I don't like it, oh well. There's nothing we can do about it now.
Most people only think that there are only two parties: Republican and Democrat. That's not true. There's also the American Constitution Party. Even though, I feel that there should be no parties. George Washington warned the people about parties - he was right.
I'm not old enough to vote (next election I can vote though ;D ), but that doesn't mean I don't look at the candidates. Michael A. Peroutka was running for Mr. P this year for the American Constitution Party (AC). My parents voted for him, and I'm glad they did.
Bush is bad, for many reasons: He likes homosexuals. He won't appoint Pro-Life judges. He thinks the government should be in health care. He *tried* to appoint Pryer - the man who prosecuted Judge Roy Moore. And other reasons.
----- Ashil: You like homosexuals?
God bless.

George Washington warned the people about parties - he was right. Yeah unless mom and dad are out of town then it's PARTY ON!!!! j/k Another good point Lyserg. I personally cannot stand people who just vote down party lines. It's the person that matters not the letter following their name. D and R are only good when associated with DDR!! ;D Party on!!

The only real problem I had with Bush was that...
My dad got diabetes in 2000 or 2001 (somewhere along there anyway) he was getting cheap drugs from a pharmacy until Bush sinned some sort of a bill and the pharmacy that he could get cheap drugs from was closed. So now we have to pay like (with Medicare) 20 to 50 bucks just for his shots, so the past 4 years we've been living pay-check to pay-check. Until my mom had to quit her job cause there was people steeling and stuff.
If we hadn’t have gotten that inch of an inheritance we’d be on the street right now, but we've spent a lot of that money keeping my dad alive.
And we have to buy a house soon >.< So yeah and for a lot of reasons I really don't like Bush, but maybe these 4 years will go by faster than the last.

That's rough s91. I don't like bush and his giving tax breaks for sending jobs over seas either.
That made me think about my decision even mroe at the poll. I'm still ont syaing who I voted for, but I would've done the same thing again if I did it over.
