I’m sorry for the lateness, but now I’m almost done with all of them. I’ll try putting them up as quick as I can. Now the scans are another matter…

Note: The title is Ozorezan Revoir so I’ll change the chapter names to that instead of the direct McCune-Reischauer. And as for the –sama, -chan, and –kun. There are Korean equivalents to these which are –neem/shii/etc, -yang, and –buun, respectively. Japanese and Korean are rather close relatives though it’s likely because they both came from the same Chinese roots and Korean words have been passed over to Japanese quite often or so. [Well, I think Japanese has a bit of Korean interpretation of the ‘One Thousand Characters’ so I’d love to say Japanese was based off Korean and Chinese but I will be killed by oncoming fans screaming Japan rules] I will likely switch between the Japanese equivalent and the English meaning, whichever fits the situation. And I change midway so please excuse the altercation of the script. There are footnotes. It started from 4 for no apparent reason…

[Yoh is panting and nearly lying on the floor with only his hands supporting him up and Matamune is calmly sitting in a chair of the train station]

Yoh: That was close… I might’ve ended up in Hokkaido if I kept sleeping.

Matamune: It’s because you stayed up so late yesterday night talking.

[Yoh suddenly notices the change of surroundings and grabs both his arms and shudders]

Yoh: Geh!

[You see the snowy Aomori town]

Yoh: COOOOLD! Looks like the cold of Aomori can’t be taken lightly.

Yoh: But SNOW!!!

[Yoh is still shivering but he’s rather happy at the sight of snow]

Yoh: Isn’t it great Matamune! It’s snow! Snow is piled up!

[Matamune is still reading his book and Yoh is beginning to wear his jacket]

Matamune: Because we’re in Aomori and it is winter.

Yoh: I see you’re not the type that is easily excited-. And you’re still staring only at your book.

Matamune: Because I’ve seen snow for around one thousand years-.

[Yoh looks up in a kind of awareness]

Yoh: Th…that’s right. [Now that I think about it] you said you’re a thousand year old spirit. I guess it can be tiresome then.

Matamune: Well…

Yoh: Then you must’ve come to Aomori a couple of time too? You said you journey the world right?

[Matamune looks up at Yoh casually while Yoh, back to us, is rather a bit shocked]

Matamune: This is the 9th time [I've been through here].

Yoh: …….Whether that’s a lot or little, I can’t guess out of that number…

[Yoh is firmly securing his backpack onto him]

Yoh: Then this Ozorezan place we have to go to… It won’t be your first time, right?

[Matamune suddenly opens his eyes and looks rather struck]

[Matamune’s face is not shown, his back is to us, and Yoh looks at him confusion]

Matamune: No... it’s my first time...?

Yoh: What’s, with that sort of dim expression.

Matamune: Truthfully I avoid the place whenever I can.

Matamune: Northeastern of Honshu, one of the three spiritual grounds located near Shimokita… Ozorezan-.

Matamune: Because it had erupted early there is sulfur smoke lingering in the air.





Matamune: The desert in front of that caldera is pure white and spreads out.

[There is something cloaked in cloth in the middle of the mountain]

Matamune: It is unknown whether or not this strange place is hell or heaven but people see death rise here… This place is where the living think of the dead through their blood ties and thus it was given this name.

[Comment: As in this is the place where people think of the dead and so it was given the name]

Matamune: This is the last point of a wandering soul's journey… It is a mountain that connects this world with the next.

Matamune: Ha ha ha. Gotten fearful Yoh-sama?

[Comment: Or more like Yoh’s saying they didn’t turn in anything to be in a tour group or so]

[Yoh looks at Mata weirdly with chopsticks in his mouth]

Yoh: That might seem like something that happened only a while ago to you but 50 years ago Grandmother…

[Matamune slightly grins]

Matamune: Well, then I shall be one step ahead and will wait at Kino-sama’s place.

6) They have the ability but they have nothing to lean upon and learn how to walk thus they lose the skill though it will linger. I think that’s what it means anyway.

7) Ok, this was just downright confusing. I think it means that womanhood comes with the loss of eyesight in itakos without support or something. No idea.

8) The sign says Buckwheat Noodles but Soba was just used.


As for why I refer to Anna as ‘Girl’ is because the story hasn’t formally introduced her in this arc yet. We all know it’s Anna but well eh.

Yow, almost two months since the last post....

Err, this isn't most of a spoiler, but I kind of find this a funny picture. The story is that Yoh was fighting the X-Laws, in order to get their permission to let him back into the Shaman Tournament (because Yoh agreed to stay out of the tournament in order for Jeanne to resurrect Ren after getting stabbed by Peyote). In the midst of everything, Luchist comes in and starts fighting the X-Laws (I have not seen all the manga, and pretty much jumped from chapter 170 to 210-216, but apparently Yoh has some cooperation with Hao's group at this time), and he pretty much owns three of them (Denbat, Porf, and Larch) in a few seconds, leaving only Marco, Lyserg, and Yoh, along with Jeanne (who is currently doing a water torture session: being in her iron maiden while underwater). And rather than have a shootout or summon some giant oversouls, this is what they do with their guns (guess that explains why their guns were branded "Sword-00X" whenever close-ups were done):



On other note, I found some scan for the first half of Ozoresan Revoir, and it is pretty damn good. Seems like a good testiment to how much Yoh loves Anna and how Hao came to be and how Matamune kind of influences Yoh's later oversoul...
