I got this idea from another forum, basically just make predictions as to what the character's answering machine would sound like or what kind of a message they would leave:
Manta: "I'm sorry, my prescence in the current vicinity you are attempting to contact is absent for the time being, please bequeath your embodiment of a formal communication otherwise defined as a message unto this recording device after the automated musical sound." *beep*
Yoh: "Hey, If you're gettin' this message then I'm either taking a nap, looking at a river, or Anna's making be do the "electric chair" for another 5 hours. Just leave me a message, it'll all work out."
*beep*
Hao: "If you're trying to reach me with this device, then you must be a feeble human who dosen't even know how to communicate through nature. Thank you for helping destroy our world, leave a message, and the Sprit of Fire will consume your soul. Thank you." *beep*
Marco: "Sorry, we are currently out punishing those who have fallen from the way of our justice, Peace be with you ;D." *beep*
Thats all I got for now...
