AWN Magazine reports this week that Genndy Tartakovsky will be writing and directing a live action Astro Boy movie. Article Here: news.awn.com/index.php?ltype=top&newsitem_no=11163Sounds like this movie has a history already with being dropped and picked up by other producers since 1997. LC

Hmm... I'm not a huge fan of Astro Boy, but what I saw of it from YTV was pretty good. Still... a movie? I know it made a huge impact on anime, but its story isn't exactly something I'd grovel (sp?) over...
Astro Boy was great... and I'd pay money to watch it, but I don't think I'd go watch it in the theatres...
Oh, Steven Spielberg was directing it before? He's such a great director; I'd've really watched it then! Since I really didn't know about Astro Boy then, I'd've probably just judged it by the director. >P
