Continuing the discussion from here.
My, how times have changed. When you guys first started discussing One Piece, I had never seen an episode, only read the first couple of chapters from the manga.
Yes indeed, times DO change.
Now, I'm on episode 103 ;D . It's a GOOD show man. And yes, I am now an offical "obsessive fan". I've even purchased a Luffy plushie recently (very cute.)
The show can get VERY intense at times as well. One Piece is the odd little show that at times belongs on Adult Swim, and at other times it would be just fine for a childrens network. An Odd show, just like Luffy himself is odd ;D.
The show also has a great cast of characters, so, if you ever get the chance I highly recomend the original.
Oh, and just recently I was able to catch the opening of the One Piece dub. Yeah... I was crying I was laughing so hard.
Anyhoo, now that my rambling is complete, discuss away!

One Piece DUB Experience:
I haven't actually seen much of the dub ^^; . A clip here and there. Mostly I find the dub pretty much unwatchable. And surprisingly it's NOT because of the voices or edits. The voices, I actually kind of like (well, from the one's I've heard. That being Luffy, Zoro, and Nami.) I've never seen enough of dubbed episode to be bothered by the edits. No, the thing about the one piece dub that makes it awful for me is the GOD AWFUL MUSIC. It's not that it's BAD exactly, it's just that it is very VERY choppy and it bothers me so much that I could never watch the show for very long. That's how things go...

Well, I own the 1st GN of the One Piece manga. And every once in a while I'll read the chapters in JUMP.
RECENTLY I've been watching the original Japanese episodes. I'm only on episode 9 so far though. For some reason, the anime tends to pull on my heartstrings a bit more than the manga. I can't explain it. Well, probably because I skip around in the manga a bit too much ^^; .
Oh, and I LOVE Luffy. His laughter is so infectious 0_0 . I always giggle when he's onscreen ^^; .
Oh yeah, even though I said that Luffy makes me laugh and that I like him. Everyonce in a while he comes off as kind of creepy 0_o . I really can't explain it. (remember, I'm only on epi 9 though ^^; .)
