Ren and Stimpy was too weird for my tastes, so was Invader Zim. Here's a list of some of my fav American cartoons: Rainbow Brite, Popples, Inspector Gadget, The Littles, X-men, X-men: Evolution, Batman TAS, Batman Beyond, Garfield, Woody Woodpecker, Sonic TAS, Carmen Sandeigo, Freakazoid, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Looney Tunes, most of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, Dexter's Lab, the early PPG episodes, Johnny Bravo, Johnny Quest (both the original and the re-make), The Thundercats, most early '90s Nicktoons, Hey! Arnold, The Wild Thornberries, The Simpsons, Transformers, Beast Wars, Reboot, As Told By Ginger, the first season of Jackie Chan Adventures (the show got dull after that, sadly), Recess, The Little Mermaid cartoon show, the Aladdin cartoon show, the various Super Mario. Bros cartoons, The Legend of Zelda cartoon show, Rocky and Bullwinkle (who doesn't love Bullwinkle?), and there was a Wizard Of Oz cartoon that used to air on HBO back in the early '90s that I liked. And I would like Totally Spies if it wasn't for the awful animation. If there's one thing I think American cartoons, it's comedy and as much as I like the Japanese animation style, you have to admit that American cartoons do have smoother animation (most of the time, anyway) than Japanese animated series.

People are mentioning so many I forgot~ *__*
Freakazoid!! Omg...this show...><!! I LOVED this show! It was absolutely hilarious!!!
*getting hyper again* >> << >>
Pinky and the Brain! O_O! That show was genius as well!
Brain: Pinky, are you thinking what I'm thinking? Pinky: I think so Brain, but if I replace the P in my name with O, my name would be Oinky.
XDDDD
Animaniacs as well!! O__O! I loved loved loved that show! T__T Especially when it had those cartoons with...with...Sally Squirrel was it? Gah! x_X
And Histeria! >< That show was brilliant!!
"See it...see it...see it...DON'T SEE IT! DON'T SEE IT!" XDD!!
Dear Lord. x_X All the good cartoons were in the old days! T__T
Oh oh! What are the really old classics!? Like He-man and She-ra! =D And Rainbow Bright!! XD
*hyperactivates again* ><

Well, Sonic SatAM was great. Animaniacs and Tiny Toons were classic.
Oh, I remember Earthworm Jim, that show was hilarious! I loved Jim's randomness. "Eat dirt everyone in the vicinity!" XD I have two VHS tapes of that show.
Yes, Gargoyles was great. I could never understand who's side Demona was on though...
Freakazoid was funny too. I remember one episode he had to chase a snake lady into the sewer and he kept complaining, "It smells like poo gas in here!" XDDDD
Oh, how could I forget the ORIGINAL Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The new episodes just suck badly.
Does anyone remember Smurfs? I always thought that show was cute.
Ren and Stimpy was comedic gold and Rocco's Modern life was really cute! I learned about walabees! (sp?)
The old batman cartoons were some of my favorites. He doesn't need wussy superpowers!
I know there are more, but I can't think of 'em now.

Resurie, if you want to see it still comes on Comedy Central. I don't know if it has regular timeslot, but tv.guide.com or the comedycentral website should have the listing.
I shall now go five minutes without being a post whore.

Nicaragua doesn't have Comedy Central. I used to watch it on a DirectTV channel called Locomotion. >>

Hmm... lesse... I like...
Simpsons Teen Titans (most of the time) The old Legend of Zelda cartoons ("Well EXCUSE ME, princess." Oh, man. Good times) Does Shrek count as a cartoon? Cartoon movie... Pinky and the Brain was classic. ("Are you pondering what I'm pondering" Back then I didnt know what pondering meant) I vaguely remember Animaniacs, only that I liked it... Once again, do movies count? Anastasia was great. One of my favorite movies when I was a wee little one.
Thats all I can think of right now.

Well, it would be easier just to list the ones one NOW rather than the enitire history of my cartoon watching... I have always been a cartoon junkie. Right now my favorite shows are Teen Titans, Justice League Ulimited, Megas XLR, and TMNT...yes, the new TMNT. I know some people don't like it, but you don't want to hear me go off on how it's closer to the original comic and the old cartoon was a horrible bastardization. It was still fun to watch though. I also like Dexters Lab and Power Puff Girls, I don't watch them all that much, though. I don't have cable at my own home so I watch CN sparingly. I miss Samurai Jack. I used to love Transformers as a kid. I still love them now. It was almost anime. The show was written and produced in America, but the animation was done in Japan. I have all the DVD boxed sets of the series and the movie. ;D ps - loved Ren and Stimpy...and I do like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, crack that it is.

Omg...i HATED Ren and Stimpy..and still do...>__< it was gross...when i was little and it used to come on me and my mom(she used to always watch carttons with me ) would get grossed out, so we didn't really watch. Someone said Robot Chicken...does that count, since its claymation? Cause i love Robot Chicken too! ^_^ Its so freakin' hilarious ...Hey Arnold is good too, though i don't really watch it anymore. Does it even still come on? But yeah, i loved it as a little kid.

I didn't hear anyone discount Beast Wars (well, I don't think anyone said BW) but it's still a cartoon. Just a different form of animation besides cel.
And someone add Daria and Celebrity Deathmatch for goodness sake. Oh, and Beast Wars.

I said I liked Beast Wars. Does anyone remember that second Beast Wars cartoon show? I can't remember what it was called but it was like a continuation of Beast Wars and I remember thinking it was kind of strange because they had changed all of the designs of the characters and they just looked so different, plus they never really finished it....At least I don't think it finished. It's been a while since I've seen this cartoon, but I don't think very many people liked it....
