Gah, you have no idea what it feels like not to have cable. I swear, as soon as I get a decent job, I will get cable TV for myself so I can watch. WAAAH!!!!!!!!! I had to stick to that shitty One Piece dub, which even NOW I don't have, while all of you can enjoy one of the greatest TV dubs ever on the Toonami block (Naruto, not dub piece¬.¬).
And I would think that from the episodes I've... er... "obtained", that the Naruto dub it possibly less edited than some of the stuff on Adult Swim! You can't really say "OMG >.< THEY'VE EDITED OUT THE WORD 'SHIT'!!!!", I mean, it's all translation, you can choose to put the swears in there or not. Mainly the only censored word, that would normally be essential, would be the word "hell".
EDIT: Ashil: lol, that video was really funny, "Real Ninjas Go Commando in Public". It reminds me of when 4kids had that advert for "G.I. Joe: Sigma Six" in which it told the audience to "Go Commando" with G.I. Joe.

Well, the day I have been waiting years for finnaly came. : D!!!!!!!!!
Voices:
Lets see, in order...
Kankorou sounded less.... old today, which is good I suppose.
Gaara sounded more confident as a creepy sang freak too, which was good. I caught a few moments of faulting, but, overall, much better.
Temari was more of the same, which I'm not going to complain about.
The sound nins... nothing special, and nothing special needed in my opinion. No complaints.
Uhm, the two Konoha chunins were pretty good.
Neji, I wasn't sure at first. It fits fine of course, I'm just worried about it sounding a bit too much like Sasuke's.
I thought Tenten's voice really fit her character design, and it wasn't bad. Amazingly, another distinctive female voice without resorting to bad accents.
All the already established characters were about the same. I didn't really like the feel that Kakashi gave off during his talk with Iruka. Something seemed off. Sasuke had quite a few lines, all of which seemed pretty emo. I think he's coming off a bit strong though. I always remembered Sasuke as more subtle. Naruto was sufficiently energetic. XD
And finnaly...... the man of the half hour, the truely greatest character in anime history....
Rock Lee.
My initial impression was... "How normal..." This continued for a while, but, as I started to listen, I realize, that although it isn't anything crazy, it fits really well. He sounds, well, like a normal average person his age. His "Will you be my girlfriend" speech was handled amazingly in my opinion, and won over his voice for me. His, hunched over lines next to Naruto were also really well carried out. I can't freekin wait until next week. It's his episode, and I believe Gai's debut. Man, it's gonna ROCK!
Episode comments:
Lol pun.... hmm, it seems, if Naruto will keep the nickname calling, it's going to be translated to busy brows. Meh, whatever translation works. And thank god they called him Rock Lee the entire time. I know they all call him Lee later on, but I hope they don't do it too soon.
Naruto's little daydream sequence was cute. I loved the unconcious chibi Kankorou.
Well, pretty good episode, I don't imagine there was much to edit. And frankly, I'm so giddy from seeing Rock Lee, that even if I spotted something during the show, I wouldn't be able to mention it.

This will be the one you'll be seeing tommorow. Canada got ahead of the US because the channel aired an episode around Chirstmas. Only a day ahead though.

All I have to say is I love Rock Lee's dub voice.I think it fits him perfectly. Also I loved it when he asked Sakura out.Her face looked really good when she said 'No' to him.XD
Also, next's week's eppy looks so Lee-ific I can't wait for it.It looks like it's gonna be great. But what's with the floating hearts? Is it just a sight gag or an attack?I guess I'll wait till next week XD

Not a whole lot to say about this episode, (It looks like Vasuki said most of it anyway...) so I guess I'll just give my thoughts on the voices.
The Sand Nins
Gaara--Nice and creepy. I got a much better feel for him in this episode.
Temari--Still good, can't think of anything else to add.
Kankuro--Nothing to say really, although it looks like all our Jack Nicholson jokes were a one-week wonder.
The Sound Nins
As Vas said, nothing special, nothing to complain about.
Other Leaf Nins
Two random door ninjas--They were pretty good, and I think one of em was Richard Hayworth! (Kenshin Himura)
Ten Ten--Absolutely fine. No complaints
Neji--A little off at first, but as with Gaara, thats bound to get better
Rock Lee--I see goods things to come with this character, can't wait 'till the next episode!
OTHER NOTES: Number of times Naruto said "Believe it!": 1

Lee's voice ain't that bad, I have no problems with it, it's just that it doesn't have that nostalgic feeling the original does.

true, which would have made him more unique then the rest of the male cast. at first i thought lee was neji since his voice was, well normal 0_o i like it was well, thou would have been neat if it had some slight uniquity to it.

I was really happy with Lee's dub voice because I thought it was going to be really annoying. Sort of higher-pitched or something...I can't really explain how I thought it would sound
I can't wait until episode 23, because we get to hear a bit all of the rookie's voices. So far we only heard a few of their dub voices (Ino, Shika, and about one line out of Choji and Hinata). Also Shikamaru will become a bigger character soon, so I'm happy.

Lee's voice did exactly the same thing as it did last week. I started off dissapointed, but was thrilled by the end.
His lack of contractions has me really inspired. I think it was a great choice to do that by the writers. I'm not sure if contractions can be translated... so I can't be sure if they were in the original or not. It's kinda neat because I have a habit of sometimes forgetting to use them, and Lee is my fictional hero so XP
Tortise who never shows up again had a cool voice, I liked it.
As for Gai. Yes, this is SO perfect for Gai. He had some purely brilliant lines which captured his character very well. It was strong, commanding, and still weird and zany. I don't know where they found the actor. I am sure people will complain for the same reason as they complained about Lee's voice. Gai and Lee sound very much like everyday, standard western voice people. Only, better XP Lee does the "LEEEEEE" thing VERY well. Rock Lee was kinda crying during his "Gai Sensei!" but, but it was ... ok....
That's all from me XD
