I'm gone for a little while (playing my new game 'Kingdom Hearts') and the board's upgraded! I like this look... but anyway, I sound like an idiot, but what is karma?

A lot of people have explained, but meh...I explain it as well.

If you are logged in as a member and look under a person's name, they will have a karma rating and two options: exalt or smite. Exalting raises a person's karma level by one, while smiting lowers the karma by one. Basically, it's how board members rate and think of you.

Also, afer you exalt/smite someone, the board will prevent you from exalting/smiting another person for one hour, probably to prevent board members from going karma-altering-crazy. And as one last note, you can exalt/smite a board member as many times as you want, and you cannot exalt/smite yourself, obviously.

So if I don't like someone I can smite them 24 times a day? Cool. I don't think this was a very good addition, to tell you the truth. I, for one, will not use it responsibly. Not that I can be respnsible for my actions, since I am currently under the affects of brainwashing via the 11 o'clock news.

I'm planning on using the karma system the same way I used Crescent's kudos system (in which, by the way, as one of the highest ranking members under the mods and admins, I only got 20 kudos to give PER MONTH): If I feel someone highly derserves one (or for one to be taken away), I will use it. If not, I won't use them at all.

To answer my orginal question: Brinny also has a negative Karma rating.

I've Exalted 2 people, I've not used the "Smite" option a single time (after all, I'm the one that doesn't hold grudges ^^).

I wish there was a way to keep track of who you exalt and smite. Like, what I mean is I wish like when you exalt somebody, you could see who you exalted for on a certain page, but only you could see who you exalted. I just think that would be helpful because I'm having trouble remembering who I exalted. ^^;;

Personally, if I ever exalt someone, I'll send them a PM telling them that I did, and why.


That's how it worked on Crescent. When someone gave you a kudos, you could click the number of kudos you have, and it would pull up a list of your kudos, with who gave it to you, what post they gave it to you for, and their reason for giving it to you.

...Far to many of mine were from the "Sailor Cosmos" and "Sailor Moon Rumors" forums... my friend Hitsuji and I were the queens of those forums...
