I don't think there's a limitation on the max/min Karma one can recieve.

so what if a person just exalt/smite you every single day so your karma will either go up or down because of that one person?

You can, I checked mine. And though a lot a people hate all the mules, -10,000 Karma seems like something Lovely would put. ^_^

How was someone who just joined at -8? That doesn't seem right. Poor Brinny-san!  I'm sure she didn't do anything horrible that quickly... In a way, I'm against the whole Karma thing, because undoubtedly people will "abuse the system," or hold grudges or whatever... I've been plenty ticked off with people here at times, but I haven't used the smite option once... That's not to say I don't like exalting people... I've used that a lot... Ach... it's got it's ups and downs... <I was happier at three than at four or five... does that make me wierd...? XD>

But the thing you have to remember is, is that Karma has no bearing on your ability to post or anything. It's just a number. Sur eit is nice to have a high number, but it's not lik eoyu're gonna get banned if your Karma goes down to a certain level.
Just like you're not gonna get promoted to moderator if it reaches a certian height.

KuroiInu is right...I mean what could Brinny do in such a short time...well maybe that's the new way of greeting cute newbies...by smiteing(sp?) them XD.....poor brinny....I'm just happy that my karma is over 0....I don't like to smite people...i exalt them usually...well if they really piss me off the make them pay.. ;D by SMITE...and the thing that you can't see who exalted you or smited you is a total crap...It would be nice if you received a PM like : " X has exalted you...".
Not that i'm complaining or anything,Lovely-sama you are doing an excellent job with this proboard,but karma is a bit foolish...

I think you should take your complaints/suggestions to Proboards since they are the actual programmers of this board. I'm sure they have a forum section where you can voice your opinion on this version. |

This whole karma thing, though has the possiblilty of being misused, let's a user know how popular s/he is on the site. For new users, the chances that you are not liked from day one are minute, and should be taken as someone misusing the karma.
