Wow. This game is hard. I finally figured out how to do Yoh's Celestial Slash when I was fighting Len and I thought I had him easily, but then he starts whipping out his Rapid Tempo Assault and nearly beat me.
Did anyone stand a chance against Faust or did you get beaten easily like me?
I'm currently going to Len's to defeat En. This teammate thing is hard to get used to.
It seems they kept their dub voices, but put way to much overacting on them and I have already read three typos and grammatical errors so far. Yoh actually said something along the lines of It'll all work out. I nearly fell out of my chair, and when Len used his obsession with milk and three in the same speech I did fall out of my chair.
WOO-HOO! Let's hear it for running gags!!!! ;D

???Can anyone give me advice on how to beat episode 20?  I really want to unlock vs. mode so I can be Ren and Horo! ;D Is there anyone who could possibly help me? |

well, i don't really know how to defeat episode 20.. i just started the game yesterday! but i know how to play as Masked Meril, Matilda, Zeke Asakura, and Marion Fauna. Weeee~ I got the game today (purchased from e-bay). Soooo much of the weirder dub dialoug ^^; . Such as everyone's favorite the term "no-longer-living" as the substitute for "dead". And lets not forget "destroyed" in place of "killed"  . I just turned off the vocals and am replacing dialouge in my head as I go along. The game is kind of tricky though. heh, I suck at fighting style games ^^; . |

Why would they use the terms "destroy" and "no-longer-living" in a Teen game?? o_0 The word "damn" is used in Teen games! That makes no sense to me... If they were planning on aiming the game to dub watchers (*ahem* of which are mostly little kids), then why not just make the game rated Everyone! Crazy people... Are they allowed to change ratings? Because maybe the rating was Teen in Japan and they can't change it....o_0 No one really answered me on this...but, where DO the characters talk? Because I don't see how they can talk in the story scenes... |

They talk at just random parts of the story, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when the audio kicks in. You see the text and sometimes you hear the character say the lines.
I just passed the Lyserg chapter so now I am fighting the five sages. Man are they hard! Does anyone have a good strategy for them. I barely beat them the first time I faced them when it was one on one.
That golem is "wicked hard yeah?" quoting Meril!
Sometimes I laugh at her dialouge and other times I'm annoyed. And if I read Trey using the word dude twice in one sentence one more time, I will vomit.
Lovely, did you get to the Faust chapter yet? I love Len's lines there.
I also see why the game takes a different branch than the anime/manga. It just so happens that the game brancehs exactly where the anime is currently. Right at the part when the Hanagumi attack Yoh and the group to whittle the tema down. That's exactly where the anime currently is. They probably don't want to spoile the anime for the rest of us.
But I still don't understand why the X-Laws were not put into the game. Probably because of their guns.
I did see that the game follows the manga more than the anime too. Dessa said that the Lirilara stuff happens before the group meets Lyserg and sure enough the game does that too.

Another manga moment was the Patch erm Dobi Jumbo Jet. That was apparently in the manga too. Um... I'm at the Lililala part now. I found it humerous how "Rocky" mountains was translated as "Lucky" mountains. So far this game kind of has what I heard it described as a "fanfiction" feel to it. Meryll just doesn't fit in well at all 0_o . But that's "so far" of course. Another thing is that the games "story" is fine to me, someone who is already familiar with the story, but I can see how the story wouldn't make much sense to the casual game fan. ALSO, the way the story is told is rather dry in some parts. I wish they had done an original "side story" from the very begining :/ . Oh, and America is called "tHE WESTERN DESERT" XD . Oh, but at least the town name "Yonta Fe" is mentioned ^_^ . I just like that name. Oh yeah, Did anyone stand a chance against Faust or did you get beaten easily like me? I beat him ;D . EDIT: Another good point however is that Hao calls people "small" in the game ^_^ ! He doesn't say it in the dub ^_^ . Oh, and the backgrounds and character art is beutiful. The CG is... allright. |

Really? I almost beat Faust, but I couldn't get in any good shots because Eliza kept hitting me from behind. So I guess you can win or lose there and the game continues.
It seems like you are close to where I am stuck. The 5 sages were okay to beat alone and that golem was hard but beatable for me when I fought it alone, but I got stuck fighting the golem and ruby at the same time. Poor Len never stood a chance either.
The story also goes like the manga but since you start with your entry test against Silva, the Bailong and Tokageroh arcs were skipped, so Morty's line about "Tokogeroh's your ghost?!" like it's a suprise, doesn't make sense to anyone that hasn't watched the show. But then again, anyone who has the game has to have seen the anime.

I really want to unlock vs. mode so I can be Ren and Horo! ;D Is there anyone who could possibly help me? *raises hand* I know! ^o^ If you don't want to know then just skip this post ********************************************** you kind of have to go around all of the people but stay tougher and you can beat the big thing with items but you end up knocking out (Merail but that's how you win) ********************************************** I like the 2 player but my bro is getting too good with Vinuval (can't spell his name either). and I'm getting too good with Mari (she's just sooo cute shooting her gun). ^_^ Every time my bro uses Lyserg I lose because I like Lyserg to much to hurt him and my ro knows this XD. Overall it's a pretty good game but the bad guys are so out of place mostly because the art style used to draw them. They also could have been colored differently. Anybody know any cheat codes I know 1 for the 2 player mode to get Hao without pressing random you have to go to Yoh and press Select and to get masked Meril you do the same. (or however you spell her name) and the that's how you win. |

Well, I am ready to give up on this game. I am at the last chapter and the final boss has the ultimate attack against me. The last two times I tried the last episode, my game would freeze! =D TALK ABOUT FUN!!!! And right during the final battle too. I took my time and defeated all of the sages and all that was left was Zeobide and then we fought. I built up enough spirit...ummm stuff and then I let him have it with Halo Blade and the game froze during the attack. You can't counter attack during my attack jerk!!! (I know it was just the game disc acting up, but this happened twice to me. The second time it happened way sooner than this time.) The game successfully kept itself from being finished by feezing itslef until I my rage forced me to turn it off!! My strategy was very time consuming. Does anyone know how your friends can successfully defeat the sages? Mine keep dying way before they do any real damage. then I have to go around with Lyserg and Pai-Long and defeat everyone myself. Am I missing something that makes this game the easiest in the world? My fights are always so close. I never win convincingly unless I am fighting underlings. I need help. I want to open VS. mode!!!! EDIT: Umm, now I have gotten everyone defeated but Zeobide, and it likes to freeze during the fight title screen where they show the combatants. It has now done this to me about 4 times. I think my disc needs cleaned. Or maybe it's Hao!! Whoever it is, just quit freezing my game up!! |

The first thing I'd do is yell at everyone else that touched the game and blame them for scratching it... {My bro put fingerprints all over my game and a few scratches} (I'll show him)
But really you might want to invest in a repair kit most of them work for PS game.
If that fails I’d just say go completely around all of them you still may have to fight a few but once you get behind Zeobide just get rid of him with items it will finish off Mearil. (I still can’t spell that name XD)
My bro came close to killing Zeobide without losing Mearil but he made a mistake and still lost her.
But I guess beating them both is how you win because that’s what we’ve been doing and we’ve won before.
*goes off to play game again and see what happens if she beats Clive Portman*
I really don’t get why they put him in because he serves no purpose in my opinion. 0_o
