(not talking about the show, doy) I've noticed a thread for the blue dude isn't here, I realized this yesterday when I was bored and started playing Sonic Adven. 2 XD
So, here it is! I'm sure there are lots of people who are fans of Sonic (Pinkechidna of course ;D). He's been around almost as long as Mario has, (and in my opinion, Sonic could kick Mario's ass any day!) My most favorite old school game is Sonic and Knuckles (did I spell his name right? o_0) and my most fav. 3-D game was Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast, (and since I'm so weird I got mad when it came out on Gamecube as a "directors cut" >_O)
My favorite character is Tails! ;D Sure, he's annoying sometimes, (ok, all the time..T_T) but he's cute! (and I mean the GAME Tails, anime Tails sucks, in my opinion..). He was a lot more enjoyable to play in SA, he was boring in his robot thingy in SA2. Shadow would come in 2nd, but why--why did he have to?!---um..die? warp into another dimension? (damn, what happens to him? >_<)
I'm making my opening posts too long...I'll stop here...^^;;

im a HUGE fan of old school sonic! my fave playable chara is kunckles.
anyways here are two tips that can help out, both in the flying battery zone.
in act 1 as you start the level and go across the monkey bars and all the way down to the teckno squeeks (the computer mice looking things) as the top part of floor meets the edn of the wall, straight across from the lightning sheild on the other side, if you jump up you get a free life.
also you can push some floor spikes aside to reveal secret rooms that have giant stage rings.
oh and if you have the S&K attachment and put sonic 2 on it, once you get to a high wall after the pipe ride, climb up it, you'll get a free life, then jump (or glide, it's more fun) of the other side (not the side you came up on) and you'll finish the zone.

And they couldn't have thought of a better idea than to make a compilation game of all the old sonic games.
And at $20 no less. I've already purchased it for my son for christmas. It's.....for....my....son......riiiiiight!! ;D

I'm into that series - I want a Japanese mangaka to make a long-running series that would be translated for U.S. release.
Maybe Rumiko Takahashi can use her style for such a thing...
I think Shadow should have died an unambiguous death...
Maybe have a hollow rod go through his torso at a high speed. It would gut him and give him a guaranteed painful death.

Rubedo-sama- You have Xenosaga, man... let your kid play the Sonic games...
Anyway, I have Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic CD.
Miles is my favorite character, of course, while the cuteness factor is obviously playing a large part, the fact that I can get farther with him than with the other two has to count for something.
hm.... I should go continue my quest to defeat Robuttnik as Super Tails... ((S&K/S3))

I LOVE Sonic. If you had seen me when I was 5 or 6, you would have seen me playing loads of Sonic games on the Genesis, I had a huge colelction of Sonic comics, I watched the show, everything! I'm less fanatical now, but I still like Sonic. Old-school, pretty much. I've got the Mega Colelction for Gamecube, in fact. I liek the anime, too. I...don't like...the recent games. I think it's because they're...slow. I can make it through some of the easier Sonic 1 & 2 levels in less than a minute, it rarely takes more than 3 minutes for some of the harder ones(although...Carnival Night Zone in Sonic 3 takes FOREVER to get through. I keep losing to the boss...because of Time Over.).

I finished Xenosaga Dessa. I need something to pass the time before part two comes out!! XD Play it again, so that you can catch all the little things you didn't catch the first time. Or even better, go find a Suikoden game, so someone other than Lovely and me know about them.

oversoul: lol you sound just like me when i was young. i have a tub full of comics. im fact, pink's sig was made from scans out of a comic special that i have.
and yes, it took me FOEVER to get past one part in carnival night. it was on that spinning platform and you had to press up and down to get under it. but i have the same problem getting to robotnick on time too. it takes "time" to beat him since he's all "hover hover"
okay time for a survey.
1. what is your favorite zone in sonic 1: marbel zone
2. what is your favorite zone in sonic 2: sky chase zone
3. what is your favorite zone in sonic 3: ice cap zone
4. what is your favorite zone in sonic & knuckles: lava reef zone

I have waited for this thread for far too long...*tears of joy*
Yes, Sonic games are one of my reasons for being. I remember when I was 6, I first got my Genesis, and Sonic the Hedgehog. The start of a legacy. I own just about every Sonic game ever made. On my bed right now, I still have my old-school Sonic and Tails plush dolls. My favorite characters are Shadow and Knuckles. Shadow just has a great backstory.
Personally, I think Shadow should meet Cream. She's just so nice, I'm sure she'd remind him of Maria. He could protect her from Eggman's kidnappings and everything else. That would just be so cute!
Survey:
Fave Zone in Sonic 1: Green Hill Zone
Fave Zone in Sonic 2: Mystic Cave Zone
Edit: Oops! I forgot Fave zone in Sonic cd: Stardust Speedway
Fave Zone in Sonic 3: Launch Base Zone
Fave Zone in S&K: Lava Reef Zone Act 2 and Hidden Palace Zone (where Knux finds out who the real enemy is)
I'll continue:
Sonic 3D Blast: Erm, not that great. The 1st one I suppose.
Sonic Adventure 1: Speed Highway
Sonic Adventure 2: Radical Highway
Sonic Heroes: Casino Park Zone, I just LOVE the music, (currently listening to Casino Park, original version)
I could go on, but I'm sure most people have stopped reading by now.
Oh, now for some useless Sonic Trivia: originally, Vector the Crocodile was supposed to appear in a sound test feature in Sonic 1. Sonic was in a band with a rabbit, a monkey, a chicken, and Vector. Vector had a guitar. *is loving this thread*

Yeah, Casino Park rocks! There are two versions, the original one, which sounds more casino-ish, and the one you hear in the game. They are both great!
By the way, did the ending to Team Dark's story (Sonic Heroes) make anyone else sick besides me?

You traded in a Sonic game? Yes, Sonic Heroes plays best on the GameCube. The XBox and PS2 controls just don't feel right. Resurie: I believe Shadow is alive somewhere. Have you played Sonic Battle for GBA? It raises some interesting questions. I have so many theories on Shadow...
