I think through the 4 games, you fight it something like 5 times... it's actually kinda important to the story. If you keep someone on constant healing, and make sure you pay attention to the resistances, it's not too hard. I actually had fun fighting Cubia. ((of course I'm a Weiß fan... my party in Star Ocean 2 consists of Omi (Claude, Hiro Yuuki), Ken (Ashton, Seki Tomokazu), Kaori (Rena, ...forgot her seiyuu), and Aya (Dias, Takehito Koyasu). Ne, you should join www.livejournal.com/community/desert_mayhem. We already have an Omi (me), a Ken, and a Nagi... X is taking over, we need more Weiß!!((especially schu...)).))

Currently, there are no .hack games for the Gamecube, nor are there any plans to release one. One reason might be because of the fact that Nintendo hasn't been a big suppporter of online play; only one game, Phantasy Star Online, was ever given online adapter capabilities. However, .hack would definitely be possible on the Gamecube, seeing as it just simulates an online experience, not actually has an online capability.
However, Nintendo might not even want a game that pretends to be online on their system, though that would be silly, actually. o-o;
Second possiblity, Sony might have licensed .hack to be only on their systems, like how it licensed GTA before(which actually failed, somehow o-o;), which would explain why .hack doesn't exist on the Xbox or Gamecube.
Third possibility is that Bandai might have figured that the PS2 is the most popular and the most powerful of the three systems, and as a result, sticks to it with .hack to prevent any of the series flopping or not being able to produce maximum game quality. However, the first of those is quite possible, no matter what system, so, *shrugs*
Either way, it would make sense if Bandai chose not to produce any .hack games for the Gamecube and not for the PS2, like how Square DID choose to produce Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories as a handheld game for the GBA and not another game on the PS2. This causes fans who don't have the system to be very annoyed, especially when the different console game directly continues the story. However, I'm getting off-topic now.
So, in closure, you might be able to expect a port of one of the .hack games to the Gamecube, as I can't find any solid proof why not; however, don't get your hopes up too high. *bows*

Especially if you used the ones from a different site. The other sites had really nice avatars; ones that could sit and all.

I had a little bat-type thing, and I used Mia later on. The Mia custom was cute; when she sat, she looked like a plushie toy. <333

*comes running in and trips on the carpet*
Great news! Shonen Jump put out an advertisement for .hack--
*reads haosothertwin's post*
Never mind... Anyway... any one who is curious as to what characters will be in the game can look on the .hack section on Wikipedia. The last time I checked, it didn't have too many spoilers. But the thing is I'm still tramatized after seeing Piros 3. Anyway, I'm going to shut up before I spoil anything else... later!

At Gamestop, they have the regular addition and the collectors/special edition. The special has a Haseo figure (main character) and a bonus disk that I think just goes over the past saga a bit. I have the collectors edition payed for and pre-ordered, and now I'm just waiting for Gamestop to give me a call. Of course, it's going to be a loooooong time before I get a chance to play .hack//GU. I have a HUGE gaming backlog at the moment ^^;.
